BYU student from Colorado dies following Utah avalanche, Ashleigh Nicole Cox held under water by snow

PROVO, Utah - A 21-year-old Colorado Springs woman has died after being caught in an avalanche and held under water in Utah.
Ashleigh Nicole Cox is a student at Brigham Young University and was snow shoeing with friends on Saturday in the mountains north of Provo.
Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon confirmed that Ashleigh Nicole Cox, 21, was taken off life support at about 4 p.m. on Sunday, 4utah.com reported.
