YouTube craze for tailoring large clothing to fit slimmer women is blasted by plus-size campaigner who claims it's 'classist' and 'taking resources away from fat people'
A Twitter user has blasted YouTubers who alter plus-size clothing to fit them, claiming they're taking options away from fat people.
Ophelia Brown from Canada took to Twitter to express her frustration after watching a YouTube clip by US influencer Nava Rose, demonstrating how plus size jeans bought in a secondhand shop can be upcycled.
Nava cut and sewed the waist of a pair of jeans that were too big for her, to achieve a chic belted look, but Ophelia was not impressed, saying: 'Buying plus sized clothing from thrift stores so you can tailor the items down to fit your size 0 body ISN'T A CUTE YOUTUBE VIDEO IDEA.
'It's fatphobic and classist and taking resources away from poor and fat people who have an infinitely harder time finding clothes than you do.'
Ophelia added that women shouldn't buy oversized jumpers from thrifts shops because bigger people want to buy them, saying: 'Sometimes you don't deserve cute things if it means fat people get clothing.'
Over 1,000 Twitter users voiced their views, with many arguing that Ophelia failed to consider the challenges of shopping for small sizes.

Another day and another outrage over nothing

Oh holy hell. Another outraged person who is outraged because she’s unhappy with something other than what she feigns outrage for.
Someone shut the stupid cow up.

She's unhappy that she's fat, and instead of losing weight, she's going to bandy about stupid words like "fatphobic" and fight a corner that doesn't deserve to be fought for.
Fat people shouldn't be looked down upon or treated as though they're not just as worthy as people who are in shape, but they really should stop acting as though being fat is fine, because it's not.
Science has shown how much physical and psychological damage being fat does to people. Don't tell people that it's good to be fat. Tell them it's a risk to their physical and mental health, and that they can do something to live a healthier and happier life.
And I say all of this as someone who's struggled with obesity and is still a bit heavier than I should be. Just because the facts hurt your feelings doesn't make it right to deny the truth.

Dude, you are not heavier than you should be. Jesus. You look great, everyone says so.
Your points are good though. Her posts scream of unhappiness. I feel sorry for her.

She's fucking lazy, that's her biggest problem and I doubt she even realizes it, with all the lies she's telling herself.
I feel sorry for her as well.
