Man's 'creepy' shaming of woman doing make-up on train backfires horribly

Hands up everyone who's applied their make-up while on public transport ?

Whether it was a full face or just a little touch-up, we're willing to bet the number isn't exactly 'zero'.

While most people wouldn't bat an eyelid at a fellow commuter doing this, one man recently took HUGE exception to a lady in the same tube carriage as him, took a photo of her - a complete stranger - and then shamed her online.

We're sure there are probably some types who disapprove of someone applying make-up outside of their home, but, for the most part, people we're not on board with the online shaming.

In a tweet which has since been sheepishly deleted (but not before it was grabbed), the man wrote: "So WTF?

Make up on the tube? Really I mean would you brush your teeth on the tube? Pluck? Wash your face? This may split opinion but to me this is odd. This was the full works too not just a lippy top up it was foundation and beyond."

He also included a couple of charming hashtags: #justgetupearlier #timemanagementinnit.

It was quickly picked up on by horrified social media users.
