Question about the Alanis Morissette song "Ironic"
By now, everybody knows that her song actually contains no accurate examples of irony. They're all pretty much bad luck.
But what if she did that intentionally?
What could possibly be more ironic than a song called "Ironic" that contains no actual irony?
Maybe she's a genius!

She’s great. Her lyrics are hysterical, wonderful and very true to life.

Hmmm. Not sure. But I do know it’s not one of her best songs by far.

I prefer "One Hand in My Pocket." Underrated song! It just occurred to me that a really smart way to write a song about irony would be to have no irony in the song

You Outta Know has always been my favorite of hers but I pretty much like all of her stuff.

I think she thought along the same lines.

Well I did read that she didn’t know the meaning of the word “ironic” before she wrote it.
Now that’s ironic.
Now that’s ironic.

A woman who didn't understand irony tried to write a song about it, ironically writing one of the most ironic songs ever. This is twisting my brain up!
