Club 18 to 80.

It used to be club 18 to 30....now the oldies are getting in on the act packing out sex shows and binging on drugs and booze.

Any of the older NF members (which is most of us) fancy partying in Benidorm this way? Laughing

Older Brits are causing chaos in the popular party town of Benidorm with marathon drink, drugs and sex sessions, a Mirror investigation can reveal.
The famous Spanish seaside resort on the Costa Blanca has long been popular with British tourists. But now the generation who enjoyed Club 18-30 holidays back in the 70s and 80s are reliving their party exploits in increasing numbers.
One grandmother, a dinner lady from Yorkshire in her late 50s, boasted to us how she smuggled cocaine into the resort in a sinus inhaler while wearing a t-shirt that read ‘Coke Whore’.
She said: “It’s easy, no one thinks to check the tube in the inhaler amongst all my pills, although the drugs are cheap enough here to be fair.”
Many of them are older and have been coming out to Benidorm for more than 30 years.
Betty Thirlwall, 66, told us: “You have everything you could want here, sun, sea and booze – if you can make it over, why would you ever leave, people love it.”
But you do not have to scratch below the surface far to discover that a seedy underbelly still exists with drugs, sex shows and prostitution all readily available.
The sordid cabaret shows revolve around the clubs during the course of the night and all are free to watch.

I try to be open minded about stuff, but I think pensioners acting like slutty teenagers is incredibly off putting, they should have more sense.
Nothing wrong in wanting to live life to the full no matter what age you are, but it all sounds so seedy to me.

Wouldn't do for me, its ok for the young and can be excused as youthful exuberance although I wouldn't like to think of any of the young people in my family acting like it. I read a while ago that STD,s were now spreading more rapidly in the OAP group than in any other age group. Shocked

That sounds really bad, but when you think, many OAP's are now young in looks and heart, and so many people find themselves alone either through divorce or bereavement when they get to a certain age.
Maybe the last time they dated was decades ago....they obviously dont need to consider birth control measures anymore, so maybe they caught up in the moment if they are lucky enough to find someone they like enough to have sex with.

Yes, people are looking and acting younger and having fun and good for them but couldn't they be a little more classy in public and go for it in private. Don't think I'll bother going to Benidorm now, you don't know where anything has happened. I used to take my own sheets and pillow cases (paper) when I did stay in hotels, have you seen the state of some mattresses. We went to one hotel, in Italy the previous occupants were still in it and it was a tip, a fat sweaty family lounging on the beds, smoking and swigging beers, should have been out by 10:00 still there at 2:00. We had to wait while the room was cleared and cleaned.

Blimey, that would put me right off staying somewhere.
I went to benidorm once when i was about 19.....once was enough.

The photos of these elderly people acting so badly is not a pretty sight. Grey haired women collapsed in the street because they have drunk too much, fat older blokes cavorting around with their arses exposed......yuck.

Great attitude to have.
Gone are the days when women were made to feel past it after a certain age....statistics show that older people can have the best time of their lives if they want it. More relaxed time to spend doing the things that make them happy, less stress, maybe better off financially than when they were struggling bringing up their families, the huge bonus of grandkids, so much to do and if lucky plenty of time to do it in.
Speaking as an oldie myself, I can vouch for it.

But......behaving like the pensioners do in the OP is more my idea of a nightmare than a night out. affraid

You're right, Syl, and the internet opened up a plethora of new opportunities for those of us left alone, especially in rural areas where there are no more social facilities for pensioners than there are for young people.

I succumbed to the temptation of internet dating once....and the result was that trying to lift her mobility scooter into the boot of my car put my back out and I spent the remainder of the day in severe pain! (And no, that story is perfectly true.)

I'm glad to say that I'm now happily linked to an old family friend of 50 years' acquaintance.
We don't want to get married, let alone to live together (old guys tend to fart, snore and run in and out of the loo a lot during the night, so she's probably very wise!) but we do have a great time with holidays together and a pretty good social life as the arrangements are fully approved by both families.

I'm so happy for you that you found someone, it sounds like a great arrangement you have.

I had a good friend who went internet dating a couple of years after her husband died. It was a disaster, she was left heartbroken and very nearly lost her home. I know it works for some, but I think older people can be just as gullible as younger people when it comes to looking for love.
