Prosecutors and police spent more than two million pounds investigating Carl Beech's claims of abuse by a paedophile ring based at Westminster.
Despite their efforts, Operation Midland wound up without a single arrest being made and investigators began to look into Beech's claims.
On Monday, Beech was convicted of lying to police. Here are the seven lies that gave him away.
