But that's still very much an option, and if we don't see the nonsense disappear and quick, we'll revisit it.

Robinson is not above the law and he is not allowed to take the law into his own hands. Who died and put him in charge???

The legal way for him to protest is via blogs/ petitions/protest rallies etc . It isn't via direct confrontation, and broadcasting live feeds.

I have witnessed trials collapse in my own backyard in yorkshire, and it costs the taxpayer an absolute fortune every time a trial is scrapped and restarted from scratch.

Really interesting distinction, Jules. I've been saying that this is the difference between liberals and conservatives for eons. Conservatives are guided by selfishness, while liberals are guided by humanism. I believe Christ was actually a philosopher (not a magician as Paul would have it) and his message was humanism.

Conservatives are stuck back in the pre-Christian days of self-focus. What is capitalism but an economic version of selfishness (profit over care)? What is libertarianism but the unfettered means to achieve selfishness? Conservatives are typically capitalists and libertarians.

Some recent polls over there have shown that just over a quarter of the population support the Tories, just under a quarter supports Labour, another quarter don't like either, and simply wish they had a viable third option -- but seem to dislike, hate or distrust BJ even more than Corbyn, and the rest just want to be left alone to watch their footy and cricket...

Whoever wins the next general election in the UK, it looks likely that they will still have three-quarters of the country unhappy and in opposition to them..
