Who for main speaker?...
Tie break vote!!!!!!!!!!...
A good run from Eddie, getting into the last three, but it wasn't to be!
But finished third, well done Eddie :D
Yes...both Eilzel and Edmund are our new Political in house Speakers!
But just who will be main Speaker and who Will be deputy Speaker?, your vote will decide!!!
It's a tie between Edmund and Eilzel on 5 votes each, this tie break is for main speaker , who gets most bots and deputy speaker who gets the least votes...
Rather than run this 24 hour poll ,voting will be officially over tomorrow at 8pm, so it's not too late.

OK, if we end up in another tie I don't know what I'm going to do, it'll make me question my entire life. Really.

Your prize is one Internet, in used but fairly good condition (sorry, this isn't a for-profit site!)

They were burned in perhaps the only justifiable record-burning in human history, sadly ...

Ok. I'll settle for a third place badge and the rubbish internet thingy.

Did you miss the rest? There were 3 polls original with 10 options on each poll- 30 options in total. The winner of each was put into a 3 way poll and then there was tie break.
Sorry if your option didn't make round one

Re: Tie break vote!!!!!!!!!!...
As Ben and one or two others know, I am, for a number of reasons going into "hibernation" from Newsfix for a while, apart from quietly looking in occasionally just to see what you're all up to.
First of all, thanks to those who voted for me, but really, I wouldn't have made a very good Speaker because, to quote the words of the great 17th Century Speaker William Lenthall, I would have of necessity to declare: "I have neither eyes to see nor tongue to speak in this place but as the House is pleased to direct me, whose servant I am here."
And that, I'm afraid, simply isn't my submissive style.
The forum has made a good choice in Eilzel; in fact on the basis that I am far too unassumingly modest ever to have voted for myself, I would have voted for him from round one.
May I suggest that as I have no wish to be dragged to the woolsack, you appoint the delightful Eddie in my place?
You could, of course, have appointed Beekeeper - on the grounds that someone who obviously has the Australian equivalent of the intelligence quotient - which automatically affords genius status to koala bears - might even turn out to be as notably semi literate and unlikeable a Speaker as the unlamented Mick "Gorbals" Martin.
Or Catman, whose repeated squeaks of "I call the Honourable turd/pr*ck/c*nt/whore/nazi/Tory scum (choose any permutation of three) to orrrrrrrderrrrr!" would at least have caused some mild amusement on the floor.
And so back to my hibernation cave....

Well I disagree, past grievances aside Ed, I still think you would have made a good Speaker, and I am saddened you will not take up this position, but you do have your reasons amd are bowing out gracefully.
Thanks for your reply Ed.

I quite agree Eilzel, Eddie has the offer made to her as the next highest scoring finalist, should she refuse then the next highest tied on 4 votes will poll.
