What the actual fuck??? This made me really angry.
~ Márta Pardavi, the co-chair of the Hungarian Helsinki Committee.
Hungarian authorities are systematically denying food to failed asylum seekers detained in the country’s border transit zones, say rights activists.
The policy, whereby adults whose asylum claims have been rejected are denied food, was described as “an unprecedented human rights violation in 21st-century Europe” by the Hungarian Helsinki Committee, a human rights organisation working to offer legal support to those in the transit zones.
It may amount to “inhuman treatment and even to torture” under international human rights law, said the organisation in a statement released this week. It documented eight cases involving 13 people this year when the Hungarian authorities had begun providing food to people only after the European court of human rights had intervened.
Some went without food for up to five days before the rulings were granted.

I guess so. I wouldn’t know as I’m not familiar with Hungary’s policies or politics.

Listen, whether the photo is fake or not, or the fact you think asylum seekers should be going somewhere else or not, starving people is barbaric! Can you not see that?
Could you sit by and watch children starve? Could you?

The world sits by whilst around 11 million children die each year. Of these around 3.1 die from poor nutrition
People are sitting by and watching including yourself and I all the time, doing nothing
Is this bad what is happenning in Hungary?
Absolutely, but its minute compared to where millions of children are suffering daily

It almost sounds as though you're saying in the same breath that this story is not real, but that it should be. Is that what you mean?

Are we supposed to do something about every topic we post, as posters, on a debate forum? Not sure really what you’re trying to do to be perfectly honest.
Anyway, back to the topic...

Well why did you ask Tommy, whether he could sit by and watch someone starve, when you are doing exactly the same?

I was sticking to the topic. He made a point so I asked him if he was happy about the story. Can’t you follow a thread without getting all antsy and making trouble where there is none?
I’ll wait for Tommy to reply as I did ask him the question.

Okay, I understood that differently from you -- to me, it was like asking, "Tommy, if you were a border guard in Hungary, do you think you could sit by and watch children starve?"

Not hostile at all. lately you constantly answer for each other, like a duo. I guess you do not realise. I would rather you answered for yourselves
Anyway, the point is Eddie is sitting back doing nothing about thisand as such is in no position to ask Tommy the same

No

Talk about not reading peoples posts properly are listening properly Eddie
So again, as this is happenning and you are doing nothing about it. Clearly you can watch someone slowly starve
Hence why ask Tommy this, when you are doing so yourself?

That is up to you, but like i say. Its a very redundent question to ask someone. Whether they could watch someone starve. When everyone on here is doing the same themselves
What people in Israel that I help?
I help fight antisemitism in the UK

ISIS caused all this, actually.
Obama and Cameron created ISIS to overthrow assad and disrupt Russian influence in the middle East.
But they are not the Liberals I was talking about
Merkel caused this by throwing the European Unions doors open to immigrants, Germany has an ageing and declining population and she thought bringing millions of middle Eastern barbarians who think its the 7th century into Germany and Europe would solve her problems.

Smelly is a lying neo-nazi fuckwit..
To wit :
Obama & Blair didn't "create" ISIS...
Bush, Blair & Co. did that by leaving a political 'power vacuum' in the Middle East.
Merkel isn't a lefty/"liberal" -- she is a centre-right politician in a largely-conservative right-wing party..
