If we are tricked/forced/ treachered
Into staying in the EU
we should elect euro sceptic MPs in sufficient number that we can veto EVERYTHING that is proposed....lock europes decision making down and render it impotent.

Go suck a lime.
Answer 1 question.
Why are Brexiteers SO scared of a second referendum, if Brexit will only supply endless bounty, milk and honey?

Re: If we are tricked/forced/ treachered
you are asking the wrong question
the will of the people was made manifest in the referendum, IF the govt had obeyed that and done its job correctly we would be out next week, as it is self interest and general scumbaggedness have sabotaged that....
of course you would agree to a second referendum if the remoaners had won by the same margin ...wouldn't you???
typical EU bend over and take it boy......
you would no doubt be one of those rejoicing in an EU army marching in via dover

Re: If we are tricked/forced/ treachered
one example of How the EU benefits us
remember the floods in cumbria a bit back
in a large part caused by dykes and ditches not being maintained
why were they not maintained and dredged?
Because EU legislation dictates that the dredgings be treated as "toxic waste" (which they are NOT) and be disposed of at specialist sites, at enormous cost, instead of as USED to be the case being banked up either side of the dyke/stream thus increasing bank height as well....

There is no legal time limit or restriction on holding a referendum.
Some democratic countries hold them almost monthly.
An in/out referendum tomorrow, especially as we are now informed of the impact a no deal Brexit would have, together with the shit storm that will happen on the Irish border, would likely see a significant majority to remain..
Even the Times thinks remain is best.

Re: If we are tricked/forced/ treachered
"the times" is a newspaper and as such has only ONE vote
its merely an opinion and doesnt make it correct.
as for ireland
cede it to the EU , shut off all access from GB and tell em right ho...its YOUR problem now....
and whilst you are telling the young folks of this country how good the EU is....you had best remind them that in the event of an EU army being set up there WILL be conscription....

But how could the government carry out the will of the people when some wanted to remain in the Single Market while others wanted a full break. You cannot escape this fact, not everyone voted for No Deal.
A Second Referendum, which will almost certainly never happen now, would give people a final say on what form Brexit takes or if people have changed their minds altogether.
It could even be a preferential vote, to prevent splitting the Leave vote.

EU legislation can also cripple small businesses. A prime example of that is the cosmetic regulations. Most of them are fine, and should be in place and are just common sense, then you have more and more rules and restrictions put in place that don't affect the large companies but pretty much cripple the small ones.

HT, the EU is the MOST anti SME organisation going, not surprising since its controlled via the commission by big business.
