El Chapo convicted; Putin still at large

The notorious Mexican drug lord Joaquin Guzman (El Chapo) has been convicted of drug-trafficking charges at a trial in New York. Guzman was considered a particular threat because of his vast organization, and his ability to purchase the services of government authorities.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin remains free even though he is doing the same thing. He purchases favors from authorities of the United States government, and walks away with impunity. His gang locally in the US--known as The Republicans--have so far been able to shield him and his lieutenant, Donald Trump.

It's only a matter of time before a candidate offers El Chapo a pardon for money and influence in getting him or her elected.

Organized crime has already infiltrated the presidency, so the door is already cracked. The inevitable is coming.

Ever heard of Alexander Litvinenko? He's only one of Putin's many victims, but he stands out to me because he died so terribly.
