Lying Labour MP jailed

Former Labour whip Fiona Onasanya has been jailed for three months for telling a “disastrous” lie to police in a bid to avoid a speeding prosecution.
The 35-year-old, who once dreamed of being Britain’s first black female Prime Minister, claimed one of her former tenants had been behind the wheel of her Nissan Micra when it was caught speeding.

Please pay attention. It wasn't for speeding, it was for lying about who was driving.
MPs of all parties really have to be squeaky clean. A speeding fine would be damaging, but not as damaging as lying about it.

Her sentence could be increased as it is being reviewed for being unduly lenient...

I thought I read somewhere that she was also texting while breaking the speed limit, which was not actually in the best interests of other road users, and I was also under the impression that perjury is a crime in the USA.
Are you suggesting that a Labour or Democrat administration would have turned a blind eye?

Perjury is a serious crime, usually committed by conservatives covering up greater white-collar crimes. They should be thankful they got off with 2 to 5.

I can't speak for America, but it's a fact that the greatest number of Brit MPs jailed for fiddling their expenses and lying in court during the great fraud scandal were Labour members.
The greatest difference between you and I is that you appear to blame "conservatives" for every wrongdoing, whereas I acknowledge that Tory MPs and Peers overall were just as guilty of fiddling (for which read theft of taxpayers' money) as Labour members and that where other crimes of fraud, theft, dishonesty, misrepresentation and lying and sexual misconduct are concerned, there's bugger all between any of 'em, regardless of party.

This lying twat was let out after only 3 weeks... and then had the cheek to try to appeal her conviction...
But her appeal was denied...!
Now she faces her position as MP being recalled... and a by election being triggered for the constituency to elect a new MP...!
