US Border Patrol closed--Immigrants walking in. Empty US Border Patrol closed--Immigrants walking in.

In one of the more bazaar ironies to the Republican war on Hispanic migrants, Cheeto-President Trump seems to have been flummoxed by his own tricks.   In order to get his silly wall included in the budget, he has refused to sign the budget CR, with the effect that the government is shut down for lack of funds.  Among those out of work, are the members of the US Border Patrol.

As a result of the absence of Border Patrol staff, migrants have been flocking over the border.  They are arriving in El Paso, Texas, on buses.  They are being dropped off at Churches and community centers where volunteers are serving them Christmas breakfasts and lunches and handing out gifts to the children.  Surprised...they are revising their opinions of the United States.
