What you have to do is actually help the countries where the problems do exist. Which is where the left always fail. They do not want to get involved in other countires that are major human rights abusers. The fail to understand it is capitalism that has helped get millions of people out of poverty and that this is the way forward for people to continue to do so. So mass migration will not solve this problem, but create many more problems. It fails to solve the problem in the original country, and creates many more in the countries they go to. As those countries cannot cope with the numbers due to their infrustructure.

Didge is quite right, we need to solve the problems of countries struggling to 'make a living' then there won't be any need for those in developed countries to be afraid of mass immigration from people forced from their homes, culture and family from poor countries, the only reason to leave your country should be that you want to do so for the experience or for exchange experience in medicine, engineering etc. There is no reason why anyone should have the upper hand, we can all co exist and trade honestly with each other.  This is the real socialist view. Inundating developed countries with immigrants with no skills is a recipe for disaster, the only thing to come out of it will be social unrest, civil wars, what will that do for anyone except the multinationals. If things break down that badly the whole structure of society will break down, the multinationals will have a mass of desperate people to employ at the lowest rate possible, people will vie for work just to stay alive, it'll be like the port workers of years gone by, 200 turn up begging for work that day, maybe 120 will be picked to work the rest go home empty handed again, this kind of thing happens in many developing countries now, if anything goes wrong and workers are killed or injured forget compensations, plenty more where they came from, the politicians meanwhile have little to do to manage a demoralised beaten populace.

Actually Vintage your post was excellent and you explained this better than me, in my opinion.

Like I say the view of mass migration, when a country cannot cope with the levels, based on their infrustructure. Is never resolving the core problem, itself. But instead spreading and enlarging that problem further. People are happy that people want to start new lives in other nations, but there has to be some common sense around controlling the numbers. The reality is like you say, the majority would have no need to even leave, if not for the many problems that exist in their nations. Hence why it makes even more sense to help eradicate the problems they face. By helping bring about equal rights for people, empowering women with birth control, etc. Helping bring people out of poverty, which capitalism has made leaps and bounds of doing over many decades and is continuing to do so.

Hence you resolve a problem at its very core, where these problems exist.

There is no need for any kind of so-called "brainwashing" (a misnomer, if ever there was one, anyways -- as genuine "brain washing", as practised by Nazis, Soviets and Chinese Maoist communists, used torture, deprivation and drugs to forcibly 're-educate' people..).

It also fails to even understand why people want to migrate and look at the very root core of that problem. The conditions in that country. So believeing the cure to that problem is pushing a billion people into the west in a short space of time. Is never going to ever cure that problem. As the root core of that problem still exist.

Now the vst majority of people are not against people migrating. They are against mass migrations. As there is a big difference on this and the problems the later causes.

What you have to do is actually help the countries where the problems do exist. Which is where the left always fail. They do not want to get involved in other countires that are major human rights abusers. The fail to understand it is capitalism that has helped get millions of people out of poverty and that this is the way forward for people to continue to do so. So mass migration will not solve this problem, but create many more problems. It fails to solve the problem in the original country, and creates many more in the countries they go to. As those countries cannot cope with the numbers due to their infrustructure.
