Lifes little comforts.
We all need a bit of comfort in our lives, maybe simple things that are inexpensive but add to our day to day well being.
I hate winter, to help me face it....I wear warm fleecy socks as soon as I get up in the morning or home in the evening.
Draw the curtains as soon as dusk arrives, light candles and turn on lamps, (I have loads of Tiffany lamps and they make the rooms feel cosy) Leave the heating on when I'm out, I hate to come home to a cold house.
What are your litle comforts??

Aww....cats are so thoughtful.
Cats (and dogs) are very comforting to come home to.

I have never had a footspa, I imagine after a long day on your feet they are very soothing ….though tbh, I love a good manual foot rub. My OH obliges which is good of him considering I would rather stick pins in my eyes than return the favour...(I hate touching anyones feet)

Whiskey, cheese, music and sitting on my husband’s lap, or us writing on our laptops, at each end of a sofa...or the world.
Having a bath with my sticky six year old...watching spongebob squarepants under a blanket eating pizza.
Going out for dinner. I love eating out.

Standing at my bedroom window after getting out of bed each morning and just watching the seasons unfold across my gorgeous view of a shallow valley with woodland, sheep grazing in the field and a lovely old farmhouse that has stood there since King Henry V111 was on the throne...
...and thinking to myself, "you really are one blessed and lucky old bugger."

Waste of time, old boy. Holbein spent ages getting one and then the bloody thing caught fire!

I think appreciating the landscape, specially if you can do it from your bedroom window, is a true comfort.
For the first 25 years of my life I looked out at a brick wall and an outside toilet....now I look out over fields, with horses, wild flowers and hedgerows, I appreciate it every day of my life.

Lol me too. The bra is the first thing off, followed by jewellery. I tie my hair back, but if it's been tied back all day I let it down, as I get a headache with the hair pulled back.
I put on comfie slippers or socks like you, but I wear skirts mainly. In the winter its leggings of pj's.

Please, ladies, please...do have some consideration for the delicate state of the ageing hearts of some of us old geezers on here!
