How important is it to you, to be so rigid in your beliefs that you are petrified of actually listening to an opposite view in case it makes you question everything you thought you knew?

Fairly open. I try to see both sides of a story and be fairly balanced.

The acid test is this: people should never be able to automatically guess what opinion you are going to post on a given story, before you even post it. With extreme people you always know exactly how they are going to reply, in every thread.

At the core i am liberal tho, and i don't flipflop in my core beliefs but I try to be accommodating if poss.

1. Dunno why VOD brought up sassy's name, out of the blue. Sassy's gone, leave her be - she is probably standing for local elections again, in her constituency, and getting on with her life, she's no longer on forums.

2. When VOD came to this thread, if she had just said something like ''hi everyone'' I would not have said anything to her. But instead, she came out with a sob story about people being mean and rude to her, the poor little lamb. Having your political views challenged is not mean-ness or rudeness!

3. Yes I have challenged her posts for the way she used to hero-worship Trump, use him in her avatar and pretend he could do nothing wrong. Her Trump posts had a DELIBERATE taunting element, and she posted other general harsh RW opinions too.

4. She said she only gave reds to people who spoke badly of about Jews - well I have NEVER said one single word about Jews/ Judaism/Zionism on here. I know nowt about them. I am of Christian faith, I have zero knowledge of Jewish faith or politics.

Obviously things happened before that I and probably others had no knowledge of, and that gave certain posters the opportunity to swoop in and pull her to pieces.

Reds don't matter its true, but my point was that giving a red in this instance about me and my hubby was like Syl said someone making sure that their disapproval of my hubby re joining .
It was obvious to me anyway .

They are so petty (reds). I just checked and I've never given one (though I did in the past, elsewhere, now I just don't see the point). Though, having looked at it, I am pretty sparing with greens too tbf

They make people feel they have some sort of power though, I imagine, so I guess they at least serve the purpose of making people with low self-esteem feel good about themselves for a second

To be honest I think the forum would be better without either.

I used to say that, but I don't really mind them any more.
(Or maybe I don't care any more, either way.)

I don't care if they are sometimes handed out 'too generously'. At least they represent positivity.

Dibs makes digs at Jules and because she does not know her, thinks this is actually sassy

Jules then drags up things from the past

Dibs replies

Then Andy jumps in shit stiring

Then Wolf jumps instorring

And Eddie jumps in stirring

Each and all of them takling sides

Complete and utter mud slinging from all sides

Let the past stay in the past

Things horrible have been said to many posters, including towards Dibs as well.
