Four cows die after German activists free them from organic farm... and the animals immediately head to the feed area and eat themselves to death

Four cows died after they were freed from their pens at an organic farm by German activists – and ate too much concentrated feed. A further 40 cows are in a critical condition after they ate up to 10kg of feed at the Liebenwalder Agrar farm in the state of Brandenburg, the Berliner Zeitung reports. It is thought the suspects, thought to be animal rights activists, trespassed onto the farm and released the dairy cows and calves between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The cows then made their way to the concentrate feed area and ate up to 10kg of concentrated feed. They are normally give a maximum of 2kg a day. Anja Schiemann, the farm's managing director, told the newspaper: 'Too much concentrate feed causes the digestive system in the rumen to be severely disturbed.

'The damage to the liver is just too much.'

Schiemann added the loss of four cows as well as the deteriorating health of so many others will cause the farm to suffer financially.

A bit like the" Animal lovers" who released dozens of Mink from a farm, [don't agree with fur farms] it caused the deaths of, and is still causing the death of thousands of Voles and other small Mammals !

I remember reading about one mink farm incident over there in England a few years ago, nicko (wouldn't know whether it was the same one or not..)--  where apparently several hundred minks were "liberated" from a farm;  most made it back home for a feed before dark, a couple of dozen were killed by cars when they wandered out onto local roads...

I don't consider this kind of 'activists' to be either genuine "animal rights activists", nor in other cases to be genuine "environmentalists/conservationists /feminists /humanists /peaceniks /pacifists", (whatever their flavour of 'protest' might be..) --  nor do I consider them to be any kind of "leftists" (in many cases, they have no political leanings whatsoever..).

When we take into account all of their violence, theft, mindless vandalism, thuggery, dangerous behaviour, outright cruelty and animal abuse (who can forget those attacks on police horses during riots in London a couple of decades back..),  a lot of these extreme animal rights/'right to life'/'femi-nazis'/"resistance"/anti-establishment types should be labelled for the Criminal Anarchists that they are.

That was the one I was on about Wolfie, unfortunately those that did escape are now breeding like Rabbits. I used to "Keeper"a large Angling venue with 7 lakes and two breeding pools and the damage they caused was unbelievable. They took hundreds of Trout and killed Ducklings by the dozen. In 3 years I shot around 300 hundred, Could have made the Wife a couple of Mink coats !
