Re: UKIP lurching further to the right
Resting up now after a gruelling 10 days touring and climbing. Got to Mull, Staffa and Skye. Climbed a bit in the Cuillans and got up Ben Nevis for the 3rd time. Also the slowest in nearly 6 hours slog up in drizzle.
Knees and ankles are shot so I reckon that will be my swansong. Might try Snowdon again next year. I can always take the train up.

Re: UKIP lurching further to the right
UKIP want UK to leave the federal dictatorship that is the EU, and a restoration of our parliamentary sovereignty and democracy, so the British people can once again have our right to self determination, making our own laws/rules/regulations and setting our own standards and controls!
We never gave permission to give any of this away in the first place!

Oh, okay! And how does "I wish I had a rocket launcher so I could blow up those two mosques" fit into all that?

Re: UKIP lurching further to the right
UKIP are aligning with the far right , are becoming more extreme and would prefers a 4th Reich across Europe over a centrist democracy.
This will become typical UKIP behaviour.

Total Bollocks Andy, take a good look at what your party's become, a Jew hating Marxist collection of hard left nutters who, if they got into power, [no chance]would run our country into the ground inside a year

Re: UKIP lurching further to the right
Nick, I hate what is happening to Labour. I dislike the splits, division, rancour, accusations and deflections from what should be effective attacks on this hapless Conservative government.
I will endorse a leadership bid, Corbyn's time is coming to and end, it is clear he cannot win the next GE, but under a new, more centrist leader, such as Ummunna, Starmer, Cooper or someone of that belief, Labour might devastate this government, in the same way as Blair destroyed Major.

Re: UKIP lurching further to the right
As a lifelong Labour supporter (apart from the last GE when I didnt bother)I cant wait for a decent leader to emerge.
Corbyn has been a disaster imo, given the state of the Conservative party Labour should be riding high.....and they are not.......and how odd that all this talk of anti semitism has reared up since he was promoted to leader.
Johnson would be equally disastrous if he were ever to be PM.....and obviously .May is making a hash of the very difficult job she has been lumbered with.
UKIP........I really cant see them getting much support, though there will always be the ones who discriminate against others, which I think is UKIP's way of handling things.
All in all, the country is in a political mess.......probably the worst I can remember.

The UKIP position is unchanged... and supported by 17.5 million British people who voted for this in the EU referendum!
