Baby born to transgender man could become first person without a legal mother

A baby could become the first person without a legal mother if a transgender man wins a historic court battle.

Lawyers representing the parent told a judge that he had been biologically able to get pregnant and give birth but had legally become a man when the child was born.

The man wants to be identified as the child's "father" or "parent" on a birth certificate, however a birth registrar told the man the law requires people who give birth to children to be registered as mothers.

The man has since taken legal action against the body set up to administer statutory provisions relating to the registration of births and deaths after complaining of discrimination.

I seriously dispair at how the world is becoming

Why would this person even take this to court, to thus deny the child being classed to have a biological mother?

Seriously?

Is it for the benefit of the child, or the political beliefs of this Transgender?

This Transgender is still biologically a women, who gave birth to a child. She could not impregnate herself. So why on earth would she even take this to court?

If she wants to be seen and classed as a man, no problem, but what about what effect this is going to have on the child?

Should that rightly matter here?

This transgender is the mother of this child biologically

That is a fact, so how on earth, is this even needed to go to court?

Because its based on the political beliefs, of the mother and not any consideration towards the child.

This is the problem today, PC. How people are trying to enforce their beliefs on others.

This transgender has every right to be recognised as a man, but has no right to take away the right of the child, to have a biological mother.
