Thousands of Russian Twitter bots pumped out a barrage of messages to 'try to swing the General Election for Jeremy Corbyn' new research finds

[*]Investigation found 6,500 bots pumping out very similar pro Corbyn messages
[*]In contrast the vast majority of messages about the Conservatives were critical
[*]MPs said the findings are alarming and demanded Twitter investigate them
[*]It is the first evidence that Russia has tried to interfere in British elections
[*]Mr Corbyn has been criticised for failing to condemn Vladimir Putin on Salisbury
