Protesters could be banned from a London abortion clinic, in a historic council vote
Protests could be banned outside an abortion clinic for the first time in a bid to stop women and staff from being harassed and intimidated.
Ealing Council in West London will hold a vote on Tuesday evening on whether to introduce a "buffer zone" around a Marie Stopes clinic after a public consultation gathered overwhelming support.
Councillors will decide on whether to introduce a Public Space Protection Order, which would allow the council to prohibit a range of protesting activities within a defined perimeter of the clinic. People who refuse to abide by PSPOs can be subject to fines of up to £1,000.

Shouldn’t people be able to protest against whatever they like?

How would you feel if a group of anonymous "protesters" set up camp on your doorstep, and then claimed that they had some imagined "right" to complain about your hairstyle or fashion sense ?

That would never happen! I have impeccable fashion sense!!! But okay, my hair can be a little wild at times.....
I guess I think people have the right to protest as long as it’s not right on a doorstep but a little down the road then?
