Study: Anti-Vaxxer Parents Aren’t Giving Their Autistic Kids the Shots They Need
We know that anti-vaccination hysteria has caused some parents to refuse shots for their children because they fear vaccinations somehow cause autism. That link has never been established, but the misinformation is hard to contain and some celebrities continue using their platforms to spread doubts about the efficacy of vaccines.
I never realized how deep the damage went, though.
A new study published in JAMA Pediatrics finds that children already diagnosed with autism are less likely to get all the shots they need because their parents (wrongly) fear the first shots caused the autism, therefore they should avoid the remainder of them.
The researchers, which include representatives from Kaiser Permanente and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, concluded that kids with autism as well as their non-autistic siblings may be at risk of not having the protection they need because their parents exhibit “vaccine hesitancy.”

Re: Study: Anti-Vaxxer Parents Aren’t Giving Their Autistic Kids the Shots They Need
Those parents in question are so plain stupid, as well as stupidly ignorant, that they don't realise that their already autistic children were already that way before being given any vaccinations or antibiotics in the first place ?!?
The parents themselves are such braindead retards, probably with undiagnosed conditions themselves, that they don't realise that it's their own mutated genetics that more likely gives rise to their childrens condition, rather than any external/environmental causes..
Do they believe that somehow vaccinations will cause conditions such as autism retrospectively ?
Several years ago down here, a health department survey into why over 30% of early primary school children hadn't been fully immunised found that the great majority was down to parental forgetfullness, "too busy", plain ignorance or nelect.. Only around 3 --> 4% of mothers were deliberately refusing to have their children immunised...
The hardcore "anti-vaxxers" probably only make up around 1 to 2% of young parents out there, but they still cause a lot of worry and angst for the more gullible among their friends and relatives; while also causing even more child health problems among local populations..
