Huge tax rises on the way
Britains face a tax rise of up to £1350 /year by the mid 2020's.
This is from the highly respected Institute of Fiscal Studies.
I saw this on The Sun app and thought you’d enjoy it

Kept that quiet.
Yesterday was a good day to hide bad news.
It will be the poorest who will pay.

Re: Huge tax rises on the way
Seems Andy, cannot read again
Is there going to be a Tax hike?
Or did they claim, tax hikes "could" be required?
The only thing it states that may happen is a 1p hike in NI to help cover costs for the NHS.
I doubt anyone would moan at paying that, now would they?
Typical pathetic weasel not able to even understand what the Sun posted.

Kept what quiet? Hammond's job was to deliver the Government's spring statement and not to tell MPs what IFS economists predict "could" happen several years hence. Possibly. Maybe. And then again, not happen.
Had Hammond wanted to keep "that" - or anything else - quiet he could have done no better than to emulate Labour's Jo Moore, who cynically and disgustingly advised ministers to exploit the terrible events and death toll of 9/ll as a means of "burying their own bad news."
Strange too, that you should place so much faith in the accuracy and reporting standards of The Sun newspaper, which yet again used the old lazy journalism trick of simply dividing an IFS economist's predicted total of the tax increases that "could" be needed in several years' time by the number of recorded UK taxpayers, and assuming that they would each pay equal shares of this in income tax and National Insurance...while seemingly forgetting all the other forms of personal and business taxation which help to make up the government's total tax take.
God, you really must be desperate, Andy!
Incidentally, how much more will we all have to pay in income tax and NI in order to fund the Marxist plan to re-nationalise vast swathes of industry and services, wipe out student debt, eliminate university tuition fees and provide massive increases in funding for the NHS, social care, welfare benefits, housing, transport........
Personally, I'd be perfectly happy to pay more in tax, particularly for the NHS -and I'm already taxed at 40 per cent on my modest, though adequate, income.
How about you?

This should make the statists happy. The government can spend your money better than you can.
