Re: Can you guess what these British phrases mean?
You got:
15 out of 15! You could be British!
Congratulations! 15 out of 15 is a incredible score and (if you're not actually British yourself), this must be a sign that you're British at heart. Somehow you managed to get every single one right, which is even better than some Brits! What's your secret? There's no way that your friends will be able to match your score. Why not share this quiz and find out?

Quill, I’m always on some kind of misbehaviour punishment somewhere.
In all seriousness, I did know them but no one speaks like that anymore - I never have.

The compiler of that quiz was quite lazy, and probably quite ignorant -- I reckon most Aussies and Kiwis would handle it easily..
That quiz is just as silly as those "Aussie slang" guides written by foreigners who have never been here.

I was born and bred in London and nobody I knew ever spoke like that. Perhaps if these phrases aren’t spoken at home and by your friends then you don’t become as familiar with them. I did know them all though as they’re relatively easy - I do blame my iPad for one of the clicks.

Weather, yes!
Blue norther is a massive winter storm, a dirt devil is a weak dust tornado, a turd floater is a storm that brings a lot of rain, and a bug killer is when temperatures drop below freezing for a few days.

A blue norther is when one passes a gas that turns the air blue.
A dirt devil is when one’s shit is so wet it leaves traces in one’s underwear.
A turd floater is a shit that doesn’t flush because one has eaten far too many burgers.
A bug killer is when there’s an unsuspecting spider in the toilet bowl and one shits right on top of it.
So.

In Arizona they are called 'dust devils' or, as the mascot for ASU indicates, 'sun-devils'.
