Does forum life wind you up?...
I think that it sometimes does with certain folk, there are some who sit with the bait waiting to trap particular members , then those members become incensed and retaliate, it's definitely often a two way thing.
We should just be in here to chill out from real life!, albeit with a bit of debate and mild arguing, even some fun and games
It can become tedious I know, I was forever for a while being called a big knob on a daily basis elsewhere a while back.
I know what forums are like now, so for those bickering....try not to let it get to ya too much, I think some of those bickering actually have fond forum feelings for each other for which they won't admit too

I agree a forum should be fun but sometimes good solid debate is fun too, the only thing that is unfortunate is that though people may disagree on one thing they may agree on many more things but seem to hold the one disagreement personally and never look beyond it.

...Well FTL, I was slightly offended until I become more used to forum life!, so I can easily live with the big knob insults now :D
Some say it's quite a fitting insult for me !!

That's it Favva, sometimes folk concentrate on one issue too much that they disagree on, rather than what they can agree on, tbh, we are mostly all seasoned posters now, but at times a poster will post lies or half truths on say...a political issue, then just shout at another poster simply because they support a certain party...
I much prefer posts which contain truths in them, not half ones at best !! :D

...you do have your own stressful days Andy, if one must be honest!
Many of us have had them at some point!, just that a small number of posters seem to be stressed on a daily basis on forums.

I wouldn't say stressed.
I tend to walk away before it gets that far JD.
Hence the reason I'm always so cheerful.

lets face it if we all agreed on every issue it would be the most boring forum on earth but if a point is debated in an adult fashion it can be fun and sometimes a point you have never considered can be raised which is really good.

...of course, I don't to agree on everything, but my first taste of forums was quite sour !...
I was verbally bashed from an old lady on Sky forums on the very forget day I posted for being a Labour supporter!!!
She said I was an idiot for voting Labour!!...not too mention Flap and his gang.
What you say is correct, we should all be able to debate like adults , but the larger a forum, the chances of that diminish due to so many personalities colliding, some are simply unable to debate like adults, or have fun without going green in the eyes!

My first day on a forum was also the old sky news boards. I was accused of being a multi ID of a poster called slim (she stopped posting years ago - moved to the US) by one called Heavenly Father. I chased him round the boards for a couple of hours challenging the accusation until he apologised.

I remember that!! Slim was a proper wum though. I got accused by Vod of being her too. Ah the good old days eh?
And in answer to the OP, I have been upset by the actions of a couple of posters on occasion, but I really don't hold grudges, I just can't be arsed.

It can be fun when you're debating a topic like people who have attained the age of majority; at the same time it can be brain-numbing when someone decides they have to either defend their obvious wrongness just to save face, or when people start pretending that it's OK to have their own facts.

...I can not go that one, when as you say when folk have their own facts...
