What do you really want for Christmas?
First topic message reminder :
I've had a really strange and at times, really tough year. I'd like to say I'd be unselfish and ask for world peace and shit but really, I'm hoping to get through the day without feeling too sad about Lisa. It's a day all about my children really and that's what I really want for Christmas....that they have a day of fun.
So. What do you want?
I really wish you all a lovely holiday, however you celebrate it.
I mean that.

Still lying I see
It was pointed out to you, that I never reported you to Lord Foul
When someone uses the report facility, it goes to all the mods and I have never reported you to any of them.
But its does make me laugh, you still cry your eyes out over Lord Foul seeing for himself you were out of order and you have since constantly needed a cuddle.
So you want to punish me over nothing I did.
What a snowflake
As lets face it, the only reason you placed me on ignore, as I kept making you look rather foolish
I reckon you are right there Didge....he childishly keeps me on ignore too...refusing to answer any of my posts even in the threads he starts himself.
The problem with him is unless he can press peoples buttons he has no interest in debating anything with them....thank God the rest of the posters don't follow that tack, it would be a very disjointed forum if we did.
Indeed Syl, as he actually fears both of us. As why else run away from debate.
I take it as a compliment, that he takes us as strong willed people and that he can only attempt to take on those who he perceives as weak. Failing to understand he takes on many also who are strong. It proves he is weak willed and has very little faith in his own beliefs and reasoning.
What it proves is that smelly is weak and can only attempt to get at people. Its his only weapon within debate, to try and garner a reaction. Sadly the likes of Wolf and Andy, fall everytime into his hands. As he wants them to react with anger and hate. What smelly hates is facts and reason. Its his achilles heel, as he simple cannot handle it and thus as seen. Invents unfounded accusations, in order to fuel his paranoia.
The best way is to keep responding to his posts with reasons. It does not matter if he replies or not, as others are reading those replies and the funniest part, is so is he.

It's a bit like talking to yourself if you answer a point and he deliberately ignores it...even though like you say he probably reads every word, but he wont back down and respond.
Hey Didge, I think the only person I ever put on ignore (and not for long) was YOU.
That was when I first joined though....I think we get on a lot better nowadays...(mostly)

That is because I can be a pain in the arse, when I am stubborn.
At least we can see past whether we annoy each other. It happens to the best of us and shows humility. As we actually look past what we believe and look at what the other believes.
Even when we may disagree.
Let him be a baby, as that is what he is being. As anyone that places people on ignore are in ffact acting childishly and hold a poor grudge.

Re: What do you really want for Christmas?
nice piece of vintage kit that still has a place in any serious wood workers cabinet. the SS (stay set) version you have was designed so that the blade setting could not be knocked out of line or drift in use. as its name suggests it is used for jointing two boards, its long length meaning it would remove humps from the edge of a board leaving it perfectly straight , thus enabling two boards thus treated suitable to be joined edge on by whatever means you would use.WhoseYourWolfie wrote:
I received an interesting present for Christmas...
My brother gave me a Record No. 7-ss (woodworking) 'Jointer' Plane, that he found on eBay..
I know that Lord Foul will recognise the usefulness/practicality in a beast like this, even if nobody else does (Record stopped making this item a few years ago..).

Vic, I picked up one of those Planes from a Car Boot last year,[2016] it's exactly as you described. A bit rusty but has cleaned up nicely, I sharpened the blade on the oily Carb' stone. Any idea what it's worth? [ I'll never use it now]

How about those obnoxious 'Flopheaded dingbats like gelico and Smelly stop posting so many outright lies, racist crap, and Trump propaganda ???
It's one thing to simply give honest and personal opinions (like nicko, Fred' and Maddog usually do..) on political subjects -- but for months we have been seeing the likes of Smelly, gelico, Didge and VoD regularly plastering political propaganda pieces, lamely attempting to pass them off as personal opinions..
And then there's the way that you and Victor often choose to ignore the Floptards' personal, xenophobic and nationalistic attacks against the Aussie and American members on here, but will jump into calling out me or Andy when we react against those attacks ?
If the likes of gelico and Smelly stopped their outright assaulys on left-wingers and moderates around here, maybe some of us might stop returning that abuse..

Re: What do you really want for Christmas?
I got my wish this Christmas - for nearly 3 years my youngest son never spoke to us and it caused me to have a break down i was very very ill and all this was happening while my dad was seriously ill - at the beginning of this year a letter dropped through the post addressed only to on the males - we never knew if it was addressed to HF eldest or youngest son - so HF opened it as it was to his address .
It was youngest son's drivers licence which he had lost at a zoo and they returned it to our address which was still on his licence.
We contacted a family member who was still in contact with him and he phoned us up - he had called on Christmas day 2016 but secretly without his girlfriend knowing -it did make my day and it picked me up .
Back to the phone call about the licence - he was very happy it was returned and said he would come for it - that never actually happened because he and his then girlfriend both moved back here and stayed for six months (total nightmare) his ex of course -but we did patch things up and get along very well now . Since they moved out they have split up and now he is seeing someone else lol .
My wish came true because I just wanted my boys around me and that happened - we had Christmas dinner with eldest and his wife and of course our gorgeous grandson who is funny entertaining loving and just well the sunshine of my life .
Boxing day we had a party and both my boys were here and it was a really really happy day - it was the first Christmas without my dad - but I felt very content and as a Christian and my belief is that my dad is with the Lord so I have no need to be sad he isn't sad at all he is at peace and enjoying heaven .
So that's my Christmas wish that came true xx
