Lily Allen has sparked a furious Twitter backlash after claiming she is unable to move back to the London flat she owns because her tenants are claiming 'diplomatic immunity'.
The row has seen the singer accused of 'profiteering' by renting out the property to wealthy foreigners instead of taking in refugees as she had previously pledged.
In the now-deleted tweet, Ms Allen wrote: 'Meant to be moving back into my flat this week, but my tenants just dropped that they can't find anywhere to go up to their standards.
'Then they said they're diplomats and have diplomatic immunity and there's nothing I can do about it.
'So, who fancies a family of 3 for Xmas?'
The tweet sparked fury with the 32-year-old branded a 'champagne socialist' by her followers.
One wrote: 'Just sing outside their front door, that'll get them shifted in under an hour.'
Eleanor Black said: 'Welcome to the real world one major difference you’ve plenty of money go buy another house!'
Another user joked: 'Bit of a crazy request, but has anyone got Bob Geldof's number? I think we need to organise a concert to buy Lily Allen a 4 million pound property for Christmas. She's homeless and in need.'

The singer later tweeted and then deleted that 'private equity managers, tax experts and hedge funders been looking' at her situation.
Ms Allen - who will be spending Christmas with her daughters Marnie and Ethel - attended fee-paying schools including Hill House, which counts Prince Charles among its alumni, and Millfield.

Earlier this year the singer sparked controversy when she apologised to Calais jungle migrants on Britain's behalf - before insisting she would '100 per cent' take in a refugee herself.

The 31-year-old became emotional while meeting with a boy aged 13 from Afghanistan who had risked his life trying to board UK-bound lorries.
The teenager, who said his father lives in Birmingham, has been camped at the Jungle on the edge of the northern French port city for two months.

But Allen's comments led to her receiving abuse online - with viewers claiming her 'crocodile tears' and apology were 'ridiculous', and that she was 'so annoying'.

The singer later hit back by tweeting that she was only saying sorry to a 'helpless child for the part this country has played in contributing to his dire situation'.
It comes after it was revealed Ms Allen was selling her £4.2 million Cotwolds mansion after she was hit by a hefty tax bill.

I can't bear the woman. I doubt she even knows what hardship means. It's easy to be generous with other people's money and property and livelihoods when you have a full bank balance and have never been truly poor.

This woman never did offer a home to the illegals. She was too busy running her mansion! She has no idea about anything. She only went over there for publicity.
