Halloween.
I had a big dish with lots of packets of sweets and chocolate bars for trick or treaters.....the first little lad who knocked swooped half the bloody contents into his bag before I could stop him.
The next two screamed..."trick or treat, smell my feet'', I made sure they only took a couple of treats.
Do you humour them or ignore them?

Re: Halloween.
We have now had about 6 lots of kids, brilliantly dressed up as little ghouls and monsters, I am fast running out of treats.
Last year I had loads left over and ended up sucking lollies and chewing disgusting tasting toffees for ages (I hate waste) this year I bought mini mars, milky ways and bounties, thinking I could enjoy what was left...and there isn't any.

Hubby ties up the gate with cable ties!
Round my way you'd be opening the fucking door every five minutes.

Party poopers.
I am hoping no one else calls now, for one I will be giving them my own stash of chocolates...and they are too good for kids, for another I want to eat soon, and it annoys me when I have to get up when I'm having my one good meal of the day.

Re: Halloween.
This year I was one of the mum's you see trudging round the streets with a couple of mates and their kids, (the other mum's I was with had drunk red wine but I stayed away from it due to being slightly hungover from last night), and shouting out every time someone opened their door "Say thank you!"
My daughter, because, well she's my daughter, said to one of the polite door-openers bearing lollies,
"Would you like to smell my feet as a treat because I'm not keen on your lollies,"
I kinda wanted him to say yes and laugh but he simply chucked a lolly in her bucket. As she walked towards me I said "Will he was bloody boring!" and she said "Yeah and I thought that was really funny of me... and I bet my feet smell better than this lolly..."
Still, I managed to eat three chewy drumstick lollies that I stole from her, so it was well worth it.

Re: Halloween.
Well, I am a bit of a party pooper, I prefer the more traditional British Halloween, (don't mind the dressing up)like ducking apples etc.

I normally have sweets ready but not had any callers for the past couple years, so didn't bother this time and no callers again, til 7.30 so I left it, I was watching something on tele.

Re: Halloween.
Its all over for another year.
This year all the kids were little and cute, a couple of years ago we seemed to get some massive trick or treaters. I know some of them shoot up young, but its quite unnerving to open the door to a six foot ghoul wearing a scream mask....holding their hands out for sweets.
Hope no one has been scared to death tonight.

Me too, magica. The wind chill factor does not help either.

Google ''Jonathan Ross's annual halloween party'' on YT. He lit up his house beautifully with laser lighting and laid on great inhouse entertainment. A-listers turned up in huge numbers and their costumes are always fun to see.

Oh God...spiders.
Nothing left now anyway....what bits were left I ate. All the chocolate had been snapped up but I had forgotten how nice some of those fruity lollies tasted.
