Kate pregnant
Kate is 3 months pregnant, baby due next March.
She's having bad sickness again and had to cancel appointments.
Can't put a link up on this tablet, so maybe someone could do that, thanx.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting a third child, Kensington Palace has announced.
The announcement was made as the duchess was forced to cancel an engagement on Monday because of extreme morning sickness, or hyperemesis gravidarum.
In a statement, Kensington Palace said: “Their royal highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.
“As with her previous two pregnancies, the duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum. Her royal highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road children’s centre in London today. The duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.”
The announcement comes in the same week the couple’s eldest child, four-year-old Prince George is to start school at Thomas’s Battersea, south London. His sister, Princess Charlotte, is two.

Re: Kate pregnant
If she had such a bad time in previous pregnancies why agree to go through it again? She's got one of each now, should be enough.

Re: Kate pregnant
One of the best aspects of early pregnancy is that you can usually keep your happy news to yourself for a long time.
This is never an option with Kate, she is always forced to broadcast to the whole world at the outset, (I don't think she's as far gone as 3 months) when she is still reed thin and her tummy is still totally flat, because pregnancy makes her so ill.
In that sense I feel sorry for her - but then Mrs/Ms Average does not have an army of servants, maids, chefs, drivers and nannies waiting on her hand and foot so I'm sure Kate counts her blessings despite everything.

Are the majority of people interested?
Not sure why, she seems nice enough, and she is photogenic and fashionable.... but she doesnt seem to generate much public interest.

Its worth a thread. I was suprised how little was in the papers about it.
Normally when there is a royal pregnancy the tabloids are full of it.

One of them was - I can't remember which one I was reading. We've just had the stuff about Diana for several weeks, and now this.

She's exactly what a good Royal wife should be. Pretty, slim, fertile and keeps her mouth shut.

Yes, she's pleasant but she doesn't show her personality, so she seems a bit like a cardboard cut-out to me. William does too. I think a lot of people see him as heir to the throne, but he's not - not yet.

Also, I don't think the royals are as special as they used to be. Harry and his latest romance are all over the papers, and I just don't know why.

Re: Kate pregnant
I think Kate is boring...nice but boring.
I wonder if Harrys future wife will toe the line in the same way?
Sorry to mention her again, but I think Diana was the only royal wife in the last 30 odd years that the public have really taken to......I cant see her popularity ever being repeated in the future.

Diana was married to the heir to the throne, and Kate is not, so maybe there's a difference there. I also think that because Charles and Diana were not at all suited to each other, Diana invented her own role and it paid off. She was not just the wife of the heir to the throne.

Kate will be married to the heir to the throne though...Williams destiny is to be King.
I wonder how long Charles will last as monarch if he ever manages to get there....my guess is not that long, he will possibly stand down after a few years and let someone with a backbone do the job.

Yes, but he's not heir to the throne yet - Charles is, and so Diana married the heir to the throne, which made her close to being the Queen.
I don't think Charles lacks backbone, I think he's a quiet man who likes country life. William doesn't seem that keen either, according to press reports.

I don't know. She got all those surreptitious photos spread around, and she sued. The girl is just no fun.

Re: Kate pregnant
The second son always seems to be the more attractive.
Harry looks like he would be a lot of fun, William is just very nice and caring, but I think Harry is the most attractive.
When Diana married Charles, I always thought his younger brother Andrew seemed to be the lively attractive one...(his attraction didn't last but he had it at the time)
Not sure what happened with Edward....he was always the damp squid.

Didn't Edward turn out to be gay? Thought I read something about that.

There were rumours, he did marry a Diana wannabe, but like all the other royal women she had no personality.
