Village council in Pakistan is arrested after ordering the revenge rape of a teenager because her brother had raped a 12-year-old in a field two days earlier

[*]On July 16, a 12-year-old girl was raped by a man in a field as she cut the grass
[*]Two days later, council ordered the victim's brother to rape the accused's sister
[*]Second victim, 17, was raped in front of her parents and 40 members of council
Members of a village council in Pakistan have been arrested for ordering the revenge rape of a teenager because her brother had sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl in a field. The panchayat - translating to village council - convened in an area of Multan where they dished out the horrifying punishment to a rapist's innocent little sister. On July 16, a 12-year-old was raped by a man as she cutting the grass and two days later the council shockingly told the girl's brother to rape the 17-year-old sister of the accused. She was dragged to the meeting in Rajpur and the horrific retaliation was carried out in front of her parents and the 40 men on the council.

This is disgusting. They call this justice. Yes punish the man who did this, not his innocent sister while they all watched. All men, probably got off on this. It's appalling.

This is the consequence of considering everything to be property. This was done to someone's sister; sisters are someone's property; ergo it shall be done to your sister. It is the result of considering, not a person's agency, or humanness, but his or her status...status as sister, brother, father, etc. When people are seen as chattel, it's no more than a fine being imposed on the brother.
We in the west are quite good at this; we love property so much. We've done this before, look at American slavery. What was the result of the slavery of the black man? He became property, as the Supreme Court decision Dred Scott (African Americans were not and could never be citizens of the United States) showed.
It lives on in the shape of racism, particularly in the American south. It offends our sense of propriety to give the black man rights and liberties, like us! Likewise, while Muslim sisters and daughters may be given citizenship, there will always be that pull that says they are property.

Pakistan seems like one of the worst places to live if you're a woman. The whole misogynistic ethic is enough to make your skin crawl, and it's no surprise that most sexual deviants who are Muslim are actually Pakistani men. No wonder there's a stink at the moment about people using the term Asian to cover the whole of this geographic area with regards to the ethnic group perpetrating such crimes.
Every single one of the deviant phone calls I ever received during the 17 year course of my two businesses has been from Pakistani men. I have several male clients, but only the Pakistani's were the ones wanting sexual services. I was advertising myself as a nail technician at one point, FFS!
Sadly, in the end, I had to stop offering therapies to new male clients. It got that bad. A good friend of mine is a Kinesiologist, and she gets them too.
Many years ago, one of my nail clients was a brothel madam. She told me that 90 percent of her clients were male Pakistani married men.
Perhaps the arranged marriages have something to do with this and the fact that there is no sex before marriage for most Pakistani women. Who knows.

That's interesting, I always imagined men who use brothels as either sad and lonely, young, randy and experimental, or the more usual image of a dirty little git in a raincoat who had no car to kerb crawl.

That might explain it, but it doesn't excuse it. There are plenty of men who don't get sex but who aren't changed into raging rapist paedos in the process. It goes deeper than just being unable to have sex. It's to do with their thought processes and their sense of entitlement as men being the superior of women.

I knew two high class 'escorts' when I worked in one of the Manchester clubs. They were both lovely women, well spoken, classy to look at, sending their kids to private schools on their considerable incomes....both intended to retire before they hit 40.
