[*]A man could then be seen walking away with the young girl at around 6.45pm 
[*]'Three of four' passers-by pinned him down on ground before police arrived
[*]Man was arrested on suspicion of child abduction and is being held in custody 


Shoppers have told of the horrifying moment a 'stranger' snatched a five-year-old girl from her screaming mother outside a city centre Primark. Shocked witnesses described a 'tug of war' between the mother and the man, before four passers-by rushed forward to hold him down. Police arrived by the store on Market Street, Manchester, at just after 6.50pm on Wednesday and arrested the man on suspicion of attempted child abduction.
