What a sick world we live in!

Police are searching for witnesses after a man allegedly threw acid in the face of a Chinese family as they were pushing a buggy down a North London street.
Two parents, aged 40 and 36, were walking in Islington with their two-year-old son when a man approached them and threw acid in the father’s face.
The corrosive liquid also splashed onto the woman and their son.

I read about that before SM - did it happen a few months ago?
I don't know what's going on with all these acid attacks. There seems to be nothing anyone can do to stop it, other than for them to get a very long prison sentence - like 20 or 30 years.

Those attackers should be charged with attempted murder...
Give them 25 years to life in jail, to send a warning to like-minded psychos..

It's disgusting. They should be given life, as their victims have to live with disfigurement for life.

I agree...
Maybe a new category of crime is needed where the intent is to cause serious disfigurement/disability etc...
But I also think that all serious violent crime against a person should have more serious sentences...
