It appears to have been locked by Ben. It's either a slip of the mouse...or, someone has complained about one of the photos listed. I note that a couple of Major's pics have been nixed.
True...I enjoyed the thread, too.

Re: Why is that thread locked?
I just had a look back at a couple of pages, not sure why Majors pics don't show now.
I doubt anyone posted anything they shouldn't....in any case the thread has been dormant for months,
Odd it closed, maybe Bens finger slipped after he posted that pic.

That's what I surmised, too. Having the master board, and a drink of brandy in the other hand, can be risky.

You mean she hadn't aged well? Perhaps it's because she's aged naturally rather than with the help of surgery?
She also has far too much make-up on which always makes older women look older.

Not really "aged well". That's involves a judgment, and I deliberately disclaimed that when I said "not to be critical". I merely mean she bears the inevitable characteristics of age. That's why I thought she might be Cher.

Hmm I'm a little it confused, Quill.
Surely Cher is one of the first people you'd normally think of, as an example of someone who has aged REALY well. (even taking into account the cosmetic help she's had from plastic surgeons). Or have I understood your post wrong?
Another thing, Minnie's face is very square shaped, whilst Cher's is quite longish, but yes they do have similar hair and facial characteristics. I really like Minnie, she was natural and classy back in the day.

Re: Why is that thread locked?
I associate Cher with the music of the mid-60's, so I find she looks a lot older today.
Minnie Driver I first saw in the movie Good Will Hunting, in 1997, so it's been 20-years. She has aged and no longer looks like a college girl. To me, her face is not so much square as long, with a Roman (long) nose, and the pointed chin that you see in Cher.
I'm very fond of Driver, as she seems the kind of person I'd like to know and be around. Of course I only know her as an actress, so that's only my impression of her. She is not only attractive, but her face has a lot of fun character about it.

Of course she's aged, she's 47, so why should she look like a college girl? Cher, however, is 71, and the pic doesn't look anything like her.

So you agree with me.

Opinions differ as to who looks like whom. I think with the long nose and pointed chin, Driver look a lot like Cher. When she was younger Driver was less gaunt around the face, but now it's more accentuated.

Do I agree that she was once 20 and now she's 47, and therefore she's aged? Yes I do. I'm just not sure what point you're making.
Cher has a completely different face shape.

The only point that I made originally was this post:
Original Quill wrote:Ummm...not to be critical, but she has aged. I associated her with younger kids.
From there the discussion went on to whether she had aged "well". I declined to get into any such judgments.

One notorious similarity between her and Cher is that very distinctive 'tight curls' hairstyle. (Though Cher did not have that hairstyle in the pic I posted.)
The main types of face shapes are round, heart shaped, square, oblong. Minnie's trademark square jaw makes her face look square overall. But I won't argue too energetically if you say different - I appreciate that we all perceive things differently.
