Western colleges and universities are considering withdrawing from the NCAA and forming their own league, after Umpire Erin Pederson blew three calls in two days in the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.

"It's just too unprofessional," said one person from the Pac-12 Conference, which includes Arizona, Arizona State, USC, UCLA, Utah, Colorado, Stanford and Berkeley, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State.  "It's embarrassing."

UCLA Coach Lisa Fernandez was ejected from the UCLA-Texas A&A game for protesting Pederson's atrocious call.  "That's a little too high-handed," said the spokesperson.  "What do they expect with calls like that?"

In an earlier game, Oklahoma's Fale Aviu scored in the second inning when she avoided a tag from Washington catcher Morganne Flores at home. There was some criticism that Aviu strayed too far from the third-base line before scoring.  A runner is allowed only 3-feet off the base path, and Avie was more than 10-feet out of the baseline.

"Yeah, I wasn't expecting it," Flores said. "I thought she was a little far outside of the baseline..."  The NCAA is a monopoly, and as with all monopolies, corruption sets in eventually.  "They're making up the rules as they go along!"  "Typical of the NCAA," said another fan.  Evil or Very Mad
