Abusive Posts

Would it not be better just to delete posts which just say "eff of you cvnt" and other rubbish?

It doesn't look good for possible new members looking in, it isn't necessary, it doesn't show anybody that "free speech is alive and well" and it makes following threads difficult.

In summary, abusive posts do absolutely nothing positive for the forum.

Can the mods not just delete them when they are reported, if they agree that a post is 100% abuse?

Too much censorship is bad for a forum as people will hold back from saying what they actually want to say & what they think.

Please leave things as they are because this is a good site.

I'm doing my best to keep Sassy,Catman & Beekeeper in line by setting a good example but please give me time with & be patient.

When people have gotten to the point that they're just fighting, and no new interesting posts are being made to a thread, it's been our policy to lock the thread as a way of breaking up the fight.

You'll notice, though, that in a number of threads, the admins or other users have been able to get everyone back on track and talking about things other people might find interesting, so we don't always lock them up right away.

Letting threads carry on with people screaming insults at one another in no way contributes to a better forum. Everyone else finds it boring and doesn't want to get involved in the petty, childish bullshit of people they've never met.
