A national minute's silence has been held to remember the victims of the Manchester attack.
Twenty-two people were killed and 64 injured after suicide bomber Salman Abedi detonated a homemade device at Manchester Arena on Monday.
Manchester's council invited people "to pay your respects to those we lost."
Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham was among the crowd who observed the silence in St Ann's Square at 11:00 BST.
Mancuanians have left cards, flowers and teddy bears at the square, which has become a focal point for tributes.
Less than a mile from Manchester Arena, people gathered around the tributes left at the site's statue.

The world's media is again in the city to mark the events that shook the nation and the world.
People in suits, uniforms and causal dress turned out to pay their respects to those who suffered at the hands of the bomber.
Chalked out messages like "we will stand together, no fear one love" on the floor of the square have not faded despite the numbers coming to pay their respects and leaving tributes at the statue in the square.
Lord Mayor of the city Eddy Newman, council leader Sir Richard Leese and Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester Warren Smith joined those in the silence at the square.
'Absolutely united'
Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, said it was an important show of unity.
He said: "We often talk about how things divide us but Manchester over the last few days has been absolutely united."
Helen Dover, 41, from Droylsden, said: "I wanted to pay my respects.
"It means so much, it's terrible what's happened it's nice to so many people. It means so much."

Will there be a national one-minute silence for the victims of the London terrorist attack?

Sorry, all the "hand wringing" and minutes silence will make no difference whatsoever. We need to go in hard and show these fanatics we mean business.

The minutes silence is for respect for the dead and to show support to the survivors that we care.
Many of the survivors and their families have been interviewed and they all say the public support is helping them cope with their grief, they are not alone.

Dealing with the murderous fanatics who live amongst us is a completely different matter.

I know what you mean, but we had one for the victims of the Manchester bombing, so we should have one for these victims too, and the victims of the Westminster attack, although it's a bit late for that, otherwise it looks like people only care about those in Manchester.

If it makes those grieving feel a bit better, then what does it matter?

Yeah. Follow Major's  and Allakaka'ss  advice on your other site. Round all Muslims up. Lock in an internment camp then deport them.
Quite who would have 1.5 million British born, British passport holders isn't  clear, but the far right always have had muddied thinking.

And the extreme left have aways been hysterical girlies with no ideas AT all what to do about anything

I havnt seen anyone suggest we should round up ALL Muslims....but rounding up and expelling where possible all those on the "watch lists" and interning those we cant expell would be a good start to sorting it.

Its all very well "claiming" (as you intellectually lazy lot do) that foreign policy is to blame, and that some how we deserve this, but perhaps you should take the time to read up on the long term aims of AL-Q and IsIS, which in fact has nothing to do with revenge for our involvement....but do do with the imposition of the world wide UMMA, i.e total world domination.....in the paticularly backward state that these types ascribe to. I know you are such cowards that you would feed family to the crocs in the vain hope they would eat you last, but you could at least stop being such disingenious twisters of the reality thats out there....

I thought nicko said "fanatics" which means "those that are fanatical", which in turn, implies not all Muslims are fanatics....no?
Did that pass you by in your blurred vision of needing to hate?

So your reply was like a fucking little whinge about shit all and you're becoming very boring Andy.
Very, very boring.

Answer the post and not the poster and you may become a far more reasonable person to debate with. At the moment you are simply more hysterical with every passing post.

Do you want people to take you seriously?
