FBI will continue with Russia probe, and it won't consult the White House
ASenate Intelligence Hearing today heard that the investigation into the alleged links between the Trump Campaign and Russia will continue unhindered.
"There has been no effort to impede our investigation to date," acting FBI director Andrew McCabe told the Senate Intelligence Committee, in a hearing that capped two days of high drama provoked by the dismissal.
"You cannot stop the men and women of the FBI from doing the right thing," he said.
"All of the agents involved in the investigation are still in their positions."
The hearing came as Rod Rosenstein, the US deputy attorney generalreportedly threatened to quit after it emerged that the Trump administration intended to use his letter regarding James Comey's conduct during the election to justify firing the FBI director.
The revelations came as senators said they would question Mr Rosenstein. Chuck Schumer, the Senate minority leader said his involvement in the firing of Mr Comey had brought his "integrity" into question.

it is within the presidents powers to sack the fbi director and trump has not set a precedent by doing so.
the democrats have alternatively loved and hated comey numerous times over the last several months and wanted his head on a platter as well for being beastly to the chosen one.

Eh?
Who is going on about any sacking here?
This is about investigating Russia and that it will rightly continue.

I think you are spinning a script in your own mind, Dino. As I said two days ago, Democrats have always been ambivalent about Comey. He is a Republicans, and he is not their man.
The issue of why he was fired has to do with Trump's motives, and what Trump hopes to accomplish. It's not about Comey so much as it is about the investigation.
