Student Claims She Was Kicked Out Of University Gym For Wearing Leggings And Crop Top

‘Is my belly button distracting?’
A student claims she was told to leave her university gym by staff who said her outfit was inappropriate.
Sarah Villafañ says she was at College of Charleston gym in South Carolina when staff told her to change her top or leave. The student posted a status about the incident on Facebook along with a photo of the outfit she was wearing to the gym. In it, she can be seen wearing leggings and a crop top, with a small area of stomach showing.

How ridiculous! She looks like a young and healthy, fit woman, who's wearing appropriate clothes to exercise in.

Actually, the CofC woman's swim team was doing warm-ups at the time.

I've seen girls, oops, 'young wimmin folk', wearing a lot less than that in gym's back over the years...
Probably yet another sign of that "new conservatism" wowserism that's been slowly polluting so much of modern society in recent years ?

I googled it. The CofC Gymnastics Club does appear to wear more conservative apparel. The swimmers do hike up the crotch, and bare the back, but otherwise things are covered. This is the south, after all.
It seems the bare midriff was what done Ms. Villafañ in. There's none of that with CofC sportswomen. Seems, South Carolina is a far cry from New York.

Loose clothing really gets in the way and these gym kits are made of breathable material and don't make you sweat any more or less.
