What in your own opinion is your best trait and your worst trait?
Do you see yourself as others do I wonder?
A radio phone in today asked people to phone in and say what..in their own opinion was their best trait and their worst trait, there were some honest and funny answers.
One woman said her worst trait was she could never pass a shoe shop without going in and buying new shoes.

Worst traits:
Impatience, forgiving too easily, not learning that getting your fingers burned twice is more than enough, moody, aloof occasionally, blunt, too much nervous energy,

They are not all bad traits Eddie.
Having a forgiving nature and bluntness can also be good traits.....nervous energy is better than being lazy, which is probably one of my worse traits, along with impatience (like you)

Nervous energy--any kind of energy--is valuable. It's gasoline in the tank. Channel it, discipline it, and it's money in the bank (apologies for the mixed metaphor).
When you're older, you'll not forgive yourself for throwing away any kind of energy.

Passion makes the world go round.
For example you can have crimes of passion, at the worst aspect of the spectrum, though never have done such a thing.
Just to show, though that passions can make people do stupid things
In my case, I can sometimes say stupid things, because I am passionate about things.
So at times it can be my own worst enemy.

Best traits : Honesty, Compassion
Worst traits : Tactlessness, Openness (i.e. being too forthright and sometimes impatient when letting some people know what I think of them..)

I know, I see it.
Passion has to be contained if its destructive though, we all have the will to control our passions, even if it means walking away to cool off.
A world without passion (or a forum without passion come to that) would be a bit drab and boring.

Re: What in your own opinion is your best trait and your worst trait?
My worst traits are impatience and putting things off, I would rather do things instinctively than plan them. I can also cut people off without a backward glance if they hurt my family...so I am hard in that respect
Good traits...Loyalty, empathy, sense of humour and I am definitely not moody.
Moody people get on my nerves, I cant be doing with dancing round people wondering how they are going to react on that particular day.

Emotive traits can be great, but also a curse at times, as it is in my case.
Its being able to control them and use them for when they are good.
Everyone has good and bad traits. The key is being able to recognize the ones that are bad and being able to work at them. To continually improve ourselves.

Emotions are what makes us all tick, they can also cause the worse pain as well as the best pleasures.
I think its fascinating to read what people believe are their best/worst traits. I wonder if other see the same though.
I just asked my OH what in his opinion my worst traits are (a dangerous game I know ) but his answers did match what I had already written down.

That as funny though..
I would have thought one of Ben's best traits is he is very patient, and not prone to anger. Its rare to see it happen, and is more due to frustration and disbelief, like with Trump winning.

Maybe when we have all put what we believe are our own best/worst traits others can add what they see.........though on second thoughts it would probably end in tears.

I have no issue with that, as we all have to accept what people might think about all of us.
You either taken on board or disagree with those views.
What is more interesting and telling, is whether people center on the good or bad in other posters then.

Re: What in your own opinion is your best trait and your worst trait?
My worse traits are I say things without thinking it through first.
I can easily cut someone off it they annoy me .
I will walk past someone in the street if I think they wronged me or my family and if anyone said a bad word about my dad they would know it .
good traits.
I easily forgive - I love animals and hate any sort of bad treatment towards them . I love my family and will do anything for them if I can.
I stand up for what I think right with a passion - sometimes I get into trouble because I wont let something go as i feel so strongly about it .
I like to put things right asap if I have offended or hurt anyone , I can't settle until I have done that .

For me-
Best- when I really want to do or achieve something I do it, and put all my efforts in to making it happen. I'm reflective, always evaluating and re-evaluating what I think. I can be supportive too I think, a lot of people come to me for advice. I have a romantic side
Worst- I am annoyingly stubborn. I can't let an argument drop until I'm sure the other person at least understands my position even if they don't agree. I can seem distant and maybe cold when I'm in my own thoughts. I am definitely a fairly selfish person
