Windows 10 and the Edge browser.
Has anyone else got it....if so are you having any trouble lately?
I get on with windows 10...and I have always used the EDGE browser it came installed with and had very few problems, which is good because I am very VERY thick when it comes to techie stuff.
However, the last couple of days I am just getting a blank screen in the middle of something, I still see the brwser icon, I click on it but nothing happens.
I can use 'Chrome' or IE but I don't have any passwords to hand for anything, they haven't been saved and I have mislaid them all....so its awkward.
Anyone got any tips? I did google but its mostly in language too advanced for my little techie brain.

It may be idiosyncratic, or it may be some program elsewhere in your system that's incompatible, but I just get rid of the browser.
I thought I was good with Firefox until I started getting hit with pop-ups...turned on 'pop-up' blocker, and half the content disappeared. So I went back to Chrome. N'ere a problem after that.
I know you get used to one browser, and steadily build up the commands and signals. But you just have to switch...either that, or find out what's with your unique system. And good luck with that.

Thanks Quill....if it carries on I suppose I will have to switch, dreading that though because everything I need is stored on here (Edge) if I shut down and restart I can get it back, but that's a nuisance, specially if you are in the middle of something.

.
Reboot your PC in safe mode and see if you get the same problem. To boot your PC in Safe mode with Networking kindly follow below steps:

[*]Boot your PC into Safe mode by clicking on Power button on lock screen and then press and hold the SHIFT key on your keyboard and click Restart.
[*]Under choose an option, press Troubleshoot and click Advanced options.

If you don’t get the error, try to run your PC in Clean boot mode and see if it works. Clean boot will help you to identify the third party applications causing this error. Follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
Failing that try this

Could be third party content. You been downloading porn again?

I think you might have to go back to Chrome, as Quill said. I didn't switch to W10 for obvious reasons.

Well I did look for some Spanx underwear a while ago (and not for me before you comment) and I got some rather erotic images up....does that count?
As for your previous post.....I dont understand it...I could feel my brain morphing into mush as I read through it.
I am now on Chrome....Edge crashed again, so I changed pw....I might take laptop into Currys and see if they can help though, changing browsers is a real pain.
