‘Stuff Jews in the Oven’ Among Antisemitic Social Media Posts Flooding Pages of University of Texas-Arlington Students, Covert Campus Watchdog Finds UTA-canary-mission

“Jews only live once” and “stuff Jews in the oven” are among the offensive comments flooding the social media pages of current and former students at the University of Texas, Arlington (UTA), a dossier recently released by a covert campus watchdog group revealed.

According to the document, compiled by Canary Mission – which anonymously monitors anti-American, anti-Israel and antisemitic activity on US college campuses — 24 UTA students and graduates have likened Israel to Nazi Germany, called for violence against Jews and both denied and championed the Holocaust in Facebook and Twitter posts.

Majority of the posts come from former and current students affiliated with the school’s chapters of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Muslim Student Association (MSA).

The Trump administration’s promise to Israel this week that Iran will not be allowed to get “nuclear weapons capability” could...

In 2014, UTA student Mariam Ghanem — an SJP activist and member of MSA — compared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Hitler, and tweeted a cartoon equating Nazi soldiers and IDF officers.
In 2013, Ismail Said Aboukar — a member of UTA’s SJP and MSA and a proponent of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement — referred to the Nazi genocide of the Jews as “#LiesToldInSchool.”

Aboukar also said the “world would be sooo much better without jews man [sic].”
Nancy Salem — a student activist with UTA’s SJP and a supporter of BDS — retweeted a riddle asking: “How many Jews died in the Holocaust?” The answer: “Not enough, HAHAHAHA.” And another: “How was the copper wire invented?” Answer: “They threw a penny between two Jews.”

The postings uncovered by Canary Mission represent just a “fraction of the hatred and intolerance that SJP and its members harbor on campuses across North America,” the group said, and pointed out that of the 24 students whose online rhetoric is blatantly antisemitic, 19 are affiliated with SJP and 12 with MSA.

As The Algemeiner reported in October, a study released at Brandeis — called “Hotspots of Antisemitism and Anti-Israel Sentiment on US Campuses” — showed that “one of the strongest predictors of perceiving a hostile climate towards Israel and Jews is the presence of an active Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) group on campus.”

UTA did not immediately respond to The Algemeiner’s request for comment on the expose.
Watch Canary Mission’s video on its findings at UTA below:

Suspect

IN ONE WAY,  this increasing bigoted, intolerant, racist and xenophobic abuse propaganda is yet another offshoot of the Trumpster mob taking the White House...

Seeing all of the racist, fascist, hatemongering and scaremongering that has been a signature theme of the Trump campaign, and the way that the KKK, white supremacist groups and "patriotic" clubs are rallying around the "Make 'Merica Gwayt, again !" mantra,  even seeing their messiah Bannon worm his way onto the executive..

This has emboldened these various little hatemongering splinterss --  including those in the O/P..

We're even seeing it down here in Oz, with the 'usual suspects' turning up both the volume and frequency, online, in newspapers, and in parliament...

This started before Trump, if you had cared to read the link, which goes back to 2013.
It has nothing to do with Trump but from the so called Palestine for Justice group, a left wing organisation.
So stop making poor apologist views and misdirection on these Jew haters, who are clearly in many cases here Muslims. Now I agree there is also some Trump supporters who hate Jews and also Muslims, but this is about a growing problem found within Universities and its coming from mainly Muslim students that hold extremist views. So in this instance it is not an offshoot of Trump, but the continued global issue of hate of Jews taught to Muslims.

All hatemongering and fearmongering propaganda/advertising has been on an upswing over the last couple of decades  --Not just your pet subject of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionist campaigns, but also :

Anti "liberal/leftie/socialist" claptrap
Pure 'white supremacist' hate campaigns
The resurgence of the Kkk in the Americas
Zionist/Evangelist Christian run anti-Islam "crusade" campaigns
Oil-and-Coal-backed Climate denialists attacking both science and environmentalists
Corporate-backed victimisation of the poor, disabled, unemployed and elderly
Cororate-backed attacks against organised labour
"Greed is good" advertising campaigns
Attacks against various minorities
"Guilt-based" advertising
"Austerity" tax policy

The Jews don't have a monopoly on being targeted and victimised by the hatemongers out there...

And it is simply wrong of you to accuse people on here of in any way "apologising" for hatemongers and terrorists, Thorin --  And, I have yet to see anyone on here actually "supporting terrorim",  despite such wild and disingenuous claims coming from Stormee, DYKface and Tommy in recent months.        Rolling Eyes

Who said the Jews have a monopoly? They certainly have the longest in history, of which is not even the point here. That is just again piss poor misdirection to a problem, by saying others face discrimination and prejudice hate. You are being an apologist, by as you did go off Trump, when this particular issue, has absolutely nothing to do with Trump, but how hate is taught of Jews and Homosexuals, within the Muslim community and the Far Left.

Even worse, your reasoning suggests, that where Trump is an issue on a topic discussed. It should then be downplayed, because of other issues and troubling leaders around the world and we should not speak about the issue of Trump, because there is a multitude of other autocratic leaders out there that could damage the world. Its downplaying the particular issue, because of others.

This is an issue, just like hate of Muslims is an issue, and if this was hate of Muslims being shown here, you would not hesitate in speaking out on the wrongs of this, but instead you choose to sidetrack the issue and root cause of this problem. Which is found not only from some Muslim students, but those on the Far Left. So by using misdirection, it most certainly is an apologist stance, seeking to distract from this particular problem found within some Universities. Of which have the support and are defended by the facilities and student unions.

You tackle each problem at their root cause, not look to place them in one giant pot, which is why the problems you listed still continue to exist, because they are look at from an overall view point and not what actually individually drives each hate group and stop bringing other posters into debates, that have nothing to do with this problem. I mean you have not even addressed one single point on the issue found here and this is not the first I have presented on US Universities or British ones. That is misdirection from the whole issue here. I have no issue condemning Far right or religious racists, so why do you duck out of doing so, when the problem is found on the Far left and by extremist Muslim students? You further misdirect claiming this is only my pet project, when I post and stand against all forms of racial, sexist, sexuality ect discrimination.

I think it's worrying, that not only do people write this stuff, they actually believe it.

Didn't think the joke about the copper wire needed to be mentioned though, that's an old joke about Jewish people being tight with money....nothing to do with the OP.

did you notice the hijab the woman was wearing. does that give you a clue to what sort of people are giving these sort of views.
not all Muslims are a friend to america, the west or civilisation in general.
for everyone that wants to kill all infidels there are probably 10 who would just be happy with killing all jews.

to ignore that just make those people part of the problem as well.

That is a form of antisemitism Eddie, that racist joke.

Abraham Foxman   describes six facets of canards used by proponents of economic antisemitism:

All Jews are wealthy[9]

Jews are stingy and greedy[10]

Powerful Jews control the business world[11]

Jewish religion emphasizes profit and materialism[12]

It is acceptable for Jews to cheat non-Jews[13]

Jews use their power to benefit "their own kind"[14]

Yes it's what most jokes are based on - stereotypes - most of us rational folk know that these are simply (false) observations made over the years.
Not saying it's right but I'm one to make jokes about everything including myself....

Jokes about yourself (individuality) our fine Eddie, but these jokes are of a collective of people. Demeaning them, based off poor stereotypes because of who they are. Once you say its okay to be racist within a joke, you normalize that racism. Especially here, when its born from hate of Jews.

So you are again denying the evidence. Even after I exposed you to crossing the line into antisemitism yourself, referencing and unfounded claim to Israel and Nazi policies. You then even more stupidly accuse me of being Breitbart.  Which is absurd, but I expect nothing less to those who defend those who spout hate speech against Jews. Stick to the evidence, not your constant misdirection and defense of the indefensible. Extremist Muslims and the Regressive Far Left.

Didge, you are the bigot here.

The terms Antisemetism and Lebensraum have graduated from WW II days. Antisemetism merely means anti-Israel and Lebensraum merely means 'land grab' by a nation seeking to expend its territory.

The days are long past when Israel was a victim. Israel wants to be a democracy and a theocracy. You can't be a democracy and yet tell others a different religion within your borders to not vote, or worse...get out.

Even more, Israel's Lebensraum in the West Bank extends that contradiction to territory that is not even Israeli. It doesn't look good to cast Israel in the role of victim these days.

1) No its what has been shown and proven that those whbo invoke Nazism to incomparable Israeli policies are doing so, for one purpose only, to normalize and justify hating Israel and by its extension Jews. There is no comparability as I have easily shown and yet you continue to cross over into antisemitism every-time you do this.

2) I do not have any problem with you being critical of the Israel Government, the IDF etc, but you speak of Israel as if it is an entity. You then make yet again more fake accusations on Israel, when it is the only real democracy in the Middle East and why do you do this? Again to normalize hating Israel. You have to make absurd claims, to where there is wrongs, to make Israel comparable to the worst authoritarian regimes in history. Its quite simple pathetic and what the Far Left regressive left do. The end game of this is to then persuade people with this hateful lies, to then boycott Israel.

3)

4) Its certainly more comparable with Nazism to ignore the fact that in the West Bank and Gaza under Palestinian control, that they are Judenrein, even though Israeli Arabs live in some of the settlements.

So again to disprove you ignorance and expose your antisemitism.

Lastly I will deal with the usual poor and unjustified claim of Lebensraum.

Israel's Arab population has continually grown and they enjoy more rights than any other Arab state.

Israel has given up land for peace

So explain how a nation is following Lebensraum, when it gives up land for peace and Arabs continue to grow in these areas?

In other words, it nullifies, your antisemitic claim, which is born only to instill hate, attempting to make Israel as hateful as Nazism.

Its utterly pathetic, unfounded and makes you a blatant racist

What did the US doing on its creation as a nation?

‘Stuff Jews in the Oven’ Among Antisemitic Social Media Posts Flooding Pages of University of Texas-Arlington Students, Covert Campus Watchdog Finds Us01

Lets look at the history here and see an actual comparisons to Lebensraum, as since then all the land has been taken by the US.

Because a significant number of Indians consistently rebuffed demands that they cede their lands and because Americans were determined to acquire them anyway, the United States constantly pursued war against Indians. Indeed, America was born fighting Indians. In the early phases of the Revolutionary War most Indian nations allied with Great Britain in large measure because they saw a new settler nation as an unprecedented threat to their lands.

After 1815, the United States intensified its efforts to expand. To do so, it adopted a policy, formally institutionalized through the Indian Removal Act of 1830, of moving all Indians living east of the Mississippi River to Indian Territory (the modern states of Kansas and Oklahoma). As measured by lives lost, Indian removal was far more destructive than the earlier period of war. Consider the three largest Indian nations east of the Mississippi, the Choctaws, Creeks, and Cherokees, each with approximately 20,000 people. During the removal process in the 1830s, approximately 2,000 Choctaws, 4,500 Creeks, and 5,000 Cherokees perished, mostly from intersecting factors of disease, starvation, exposure, and demoralization. Many hundreds died during the journey west, though the “trail of tears” metaphor obscures the fact that the majority of deaths occurred in internment camps while awaiting transportation west and in the first few years after relocation. The death toll for all three nations—close to 20 percent—is equivalent to 60 million for the current U.S. population. Smaller nations north of the Ohio also suffered significant losses through removal. A reported forty-three Potawatomis in a group of eight hundred died as they traveled from Indiana to Kansas, while sixty Wyandots, mostly young children, in a group of seven hundred died from disease shortly after their arrival in the West.

So I take it you do understand the double standard you are applying based off US history and that you are from California?

Lets compare Israel to the US in landmass

‘Stuff Jews in the Oven’ Among Antisemitic Social Media Posts Flooding Pages of University of Texas-Arlington Students, Covert Campus Watchdog Finds Size-of-israel-vs-world1

And to top it off the US itself occupies people and this is what it says to the UN

Among the annual UN demands of the US concerning Guam is:

Called once again upon the administering Power to take into consideration the expressed will of the Chamorro people as supported by Guam voters in the referendum of 1987 and as subsequently provided for in Guam law regarding Chamorro self-determination  efforts, encouraged the administering Power and the territorial Government to enter into negotiations on the matter, and stressed the need for continued close monitoring of the overall situation in the Territory;

Here is how the US responds to the UN demands for self-determination in Guam:

In a letter dated 2 November 2006 addressed to the delegate of American Samoa to the United States House of Representatives, the Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs elaborated on the position of the Government of the United States. He indicated that the status of the insular areas regarding their political relations with the federal Government was an internal United States issue, and not one that came within the purview of the Special Committee on the Situation with regard to the Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples. He also noted that the Special Committee had no authority to alter in any way the relationship between the United States and those territories and had no mandate to engage the United States in negotiations on their status.

In other words, when the UN wants to help the residents of Guam to achieve self-determination, the US tells the UN to go to hell.

No protests, no BDS.. The US can act with impunity towards the residents of Guam and keep the island as a colony despite UN attempts to work towards more independence.

And on a final note.

According to the EUMC,
Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities. In addition, such manifestations could also target the state of Israel, conceived as a Jewish collectivity. Antisemitism frequently charges Jews with conspiring to harm humanity, and it is often used to blame Jews for ‘why things go wrong’.
The EUMC then goes on to cite specific examples of antisemitism including:

  • Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion.

  • Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective — such as, especially but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions.

  • Accusing Jews as a people of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Jewish person or group, or even for acts committed by non-Jews.

  • Denying the fact, scope, mechanisms (e.g. gas chambers) or intentionality of the genocide of the Jewish people at the hands of National Socialist Germany and its supporters and accomplices during World War II (the Holocaust).

  • Accusing the Jews as a people, or Israel as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust.

  • Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.

Specifically with respect to Israel, taking into account the overall context, the EUMC gave the following examples:

  • Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.

  • Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation.

  • Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.

  • Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.

  • Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel.

Antisemitism: The Israel – Nazi Comparison

Nazism is the epitome of evil. It’s not suprising that people gravitate to it in hyperbole. Godwin’s Rule of Nazi Analogies, an observation about online discussion, holds that “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1” (that is to say it will happen in any discussion eventually). Godwin himself has said of the rule that, “Although [it is] deliberately framed as if it were a law of nature or of mathematics, its purpose has always been rhetorical and pedagogical: I wanted folks who glibly compared someone else to Hitler or to Nazis to think a bit harder about the Holocaust”. This highlights one major problem with the inappropriate use of comparisons to Nazism; they trivialise the reality of the Holocaust.

What the Nazis did was far beyond other genocides (like Darfur). The Palestinian-Israeli conflict, even at its worst, doesn’t come close. The Nazis created an industrialised system to wipe out every last Jew. They moved people across Europe by train just to kill them more efficiently. The horror of the Holocaust goes far deeper than the fact a lot of people died.

When used in the context of Jews or Israel, it’s not just a really poor comparison; its use is designed to cause distress to those who survived the Holocaust or who grew up as the children of survivors. It’s like disagreeing with someone eating meat, and knowing they are a rape victim, choosing to make your point by comparing eating meat with rape and saying that someone who had been raped should know better. It’s not just a bad analogy, it’s applying a different standard to someone because they are a victim, making them a victim a second time.

Professor Yehuda Bauer is a leading expert on the Holocaust and the person who gave the address at the UN General Assembly’s first International Holocaust Remembrance Day commemoration (in 2006). He has noted the uniqueness of the Holocaust, saying that while it is important to compare the Holocaust to other genocides, in doing so one must mention that the Holocaust involved the creation of an industry to manufacture corpses.  This is what makes it unique in human history. He explains that genocide occurs when one party is overwhelmingly powerful, and the targeted victim is nearly or totally powerless. He says “the Palestinians cannot overcome Israel with terrorism or rockets, nor can Israel annihilate the Palestinian population; it remains a bloody and difficult conflict, but not a genocide.” Please do read  his paper.

The Working Definition of Antisemitism gives as one example of antisemitism “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis”. The definition was created in 2004 by the European Union Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC), now known as the Fundamental Rights Agency of the European Union. It has received widespread international use, for example in its adopted by the US Government for the State Department Report on antisemitism, and in its adoption by the British Police as part of their Hate Crimes Operations Guide. The London Declaration of the Inter-Parliamentary Coalition to Combat Antisemitism, signed by members of Parliament from around the world, including Australia, also adopts the Working Definition and encourages its widespread use.

There are plenty of ways describe something as bad. There is no need to make a poor analogy by invoking the Holocaust. To do so specifically because the target is Jewish, or the Jewish state (i.e. Israel), is to use that identity as grounds for attacking. That is almost a definition of racism; using someone’s identity as a basis to attack them. Comparing Israeli policy to that of the Nazis, calling Israel a Nazi state, or saying Jews should know better and not behave like Nazis are all forms of the same racist attack. This needs to be called out.

So in conclusion, you are antisemitic Quill, as defined by your own nation.

I don’t need so much wind.

1. Antisemitism is no longer Nazism, so leave Nazism aside.
2. Antisemitism is anti-Israelism, and Israel wants a theocracy and that leaves out democrary.
3. Israel does not let Muslims vote in their own land, so it is not a democracy.

Simple.

No because you are antisemitic as seen the Us would classify you as such under its definition of antisemitism.

Second the definition does not protect Israel from genuine criticism, making your claim again daft and unfounded.

Third, Israel does allow Muslims to vote in their own land, 20% of its population are Arabs, of which many are Muslims. So Israel is a Democracy. You see again you try to invoke hateful lies, to instill hate against Israel, claiming it is not Democratic, making again unfounded bullshit claims.

Muslims in the West bank do not get the vote, because Israel has not annexed the territory, as its disputed territory and its controlled by Fatah in areas, A and B and Gaza by Hamas, of which they do not wish to be Israeli citizens, though they can apply to be and become citizens, as they do for example in East Jerusalem.

Fourth, as seen your claim is also absolute bollocks to Lebensraum and the only reason you do so is to normalize hating Israel, based off an appalling  Nazi policy, that saw Nazi Germany commit the widespread mass murders of people within lands they annexed.

So again you are looking quite ignorant as per usual and stop reading regressive fake news on the matter.

The only thing comparable to Nazism here, is your hate of the Jews.

Really, back up your claims?
1) I just  proved you wrong.
2) I just  proved you wrong.
3) I just  proved you wrong. Again all Muslim Israeli citizens can vote.

Why doesn’t Israel grant Israeli citizenship to the West Bank Palestinians? Israel does not grant Israeli citizenship to West Bank Palestinians – i.e. give every West Bank Palestinian a vote in Israeli elections, subject to Israeli law, in short, make them Israelis – because that would amount to the annexation of the Territories, making them part of Israel, ending all prospects for a Palestinian state. ‘Israel does not want to do that’, its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said. ‘We do not want to rule over them, we do not want to govern their lives, we do not want to impose either our flag or our culture on them.’ Most Palestinians don’t want to be annexed to Israel either – they want to be citizens of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state, not citizens of Israel.

Which if you claim they should have the vote, then the land would have to be Israel's and then it then, just as before, it could not be Lebensraum. As you would then be claiming its not occupied territory, but Israeli land. You need to make your mind up, "Mr Clearly, you have not got the first clue about International Law Quill"

And proved you have far more in comparison to Nazism
A hatred of Jews

Try again

http://ohpi.org.au/antisemitism-israel-nazi/

Examples of the ways in which antisemitism manifests itself with regard to the State of Israel taking into account the overall context could include:

  • Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.

  • Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation.

  • Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.

  • Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel.

However, criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country cannot be regarded as antisemitic.

Antisemitic acts are criminal when they are so defined by law

Criminal acts are antisemitic when the targets of attacks, whether they are people or property – such as buildings, schools, places of worship and cemeteries – are selected because they are, or are perceived to be, Jewish or linked to Jews.

Antisemitic discrimination is the denial to Jews of opportunities or services available to others and is illegal in many countries.

So again you are looking quite ignorant as per usual and stop reading regressive fake news on the matter.
