Tunisian police accused of cowardice.
http://news.sky.com/story/tunisia-inquests-deliberate-police-delay-down-to-cowardice-10760406
"The full scale of the "cowardice" of Tunisian police officers who failed to deal with a terrorist attack on a tourist resort has been detailed at the inquests into the 38 people who died.
A summary of an investigation by a Tunisian judge was read out to the court in London, while families of the victims listened.
They had already been given an advance copy of the damning report.
Dozens of police officers were interviewed, and some had conflicting stories about how they dealt with the gun rampage by Seifeddine Rezgui in June 2015.
But the conclusion of Tunisian Judge Akremi was that armed police should have been able to neutralise the terrorist within a few minutes."
I wonder how many of those 38 tourists, including many Brits, would not have been slaughtered if the police had acted correctly?

Re: Tunisian police accused of cowardice.
No interest in the Tunisian police being branded as cowards when 38 holiday makers, including 30 Brits were massacred on a Tunisian beach.
Two beach patrol security men stayed in the sea....when they did gather enough balls to try to help one fainted and the other one took off his uniform and mingled in with the crowds.
It was left to local Tunisian beach workers to try to halt the maniac with the guns.

Maybe a lot of them share the Islamist terrorists views...

Re: Tunisian police accused of cowardice.
Or maybe they were just plain cowards.
Eventually a policeman from further afield responded and shot the terrorist.
"Rezgui was finally shot twenty times, but one of the officers who killed him did so even though the area wasn't his jurisdiction.
He did so because those who should have been dealing with the incident had not responded."

Re: Tunisian police accused of cowardice.
So apart from the lives of the 38 massacred and their families being ruined, the brave locals who formed a line to try to prevent the terrorist slaughtering even more holiday makers on the beach, have also suffered greatly.
Many have seen their businesses ruined.
This latest report will hardly encourage holiday makers to go back to a place which offers little protection for them.
