Things that make you FUME.
This one does me.....when someone (husband in this case) leaves a tissue or piece of paper roll or something in a pocket then puts that item in the washing machine....ALWAYS in a dark wash.
I have just spent an hour trying to peel miniscule bits of paper off a full wash, plus cook, plus post....I am stressed now.
Good night.

I'm a bit worried about getting on with the very few folks I know who support Brexit and Trump.

See, I don't get that. I would never fall out with someone who had different beliefs or political leanings from me.

I know lots of people who voted for Brexit (me included) I don't know anyone who would ADMIT to being a Trump supporter though.
If I did I doubt it would affect any friendship, I may treat them with a bit more care though.

Is leaving a tissue in a pocket grounds for divorce?

It's one of the worst housekeeping disasters. Some tissues when washed shred a bit, some break up into a million tiny blobs and stick on everything, especially wool....this was the one last night....and it's impossible to get off damp clothes.
I was quite traumatised,

My gripe is 'mods' hiding, gobbing off behind their modship.
That's annoying, if a mod is entering into a debate they should do so as a poster imo.
Most mods do....but to use your power as a mod to ban (or threaten) just because you disagree with someone's pov is not right imo.
It IS hard being a mod and an active poster though....wearing two hats at the same time is tricky.

Agreed 100%. They are asked to play a delicate role. All-in-all, I think our mods do a good job. I like the job that eds does, and we need the decisive hands of vic and veya. I miss Irn, but Les is a great choice...and a super poster.

No, I said a tissue or a piece of paper roll.....that's not toilet roll.
The exact source of the offensive millions bits of paper will never be known.

As I say, I use a stick-it roll, like masking tape, sticky side out, placed over a roller. Costs $1 at the Dollar Store. Works wonders for lint, fuzz, dust, tissue all over after a wash.

Unfortunately the local shops were shut when I had this disaster last night Quill.....plus, when clothes are damp, removing a zillion (or so it seemed) bits of wet tissue or paper roll from dark woollen garments is a hard task no matter what tool you are using.
Anyway....I survived, the fact I was cooking two different meals at the same time added to the stress, but it was nothing a large glass of Chardonnay couldn't put right....eventually.

Haha...yes, Chardonnay always helps. I didn't know that about damp clothes. Why were they damp?

I always have to wonder exactly what it is that Pte. Stormee thinks he has, that anyone could possibly be "jealous" of...
Aussies, and many, many other places, (including much of the USA, and some of its neighbours..) have better weather, better beaches, more natural resources, better wages, better housing, and more genuine wilderness..
Seems to me that little old Stormee is often the one on here displaying so much jealousy of and towards others.
Maybe Stormee needs to better appreciate what he does have -- instead of constantly displaying so much jealousy towards so many "forunuz and imigrantz"..

Now, I believe Ben and mods virtually encourage/enjoy it for post counts and show their teeth now and again to the person who DOES NOT START IT, ignoring the antagonist.
It's not what you know it's who you know.
Personally I think constant name calling and personal insults do nothing beneficial for a forum, it just makes other people retaliate or log out....but if it bothered me that much I would start my own forum and insist MY rules were followed.
I never have done that and I never will (too much hassle) so I try to respect the rules of the forum I post on.

Re: Things that make you FUME.
Okay Major so this is how it is:
If you're a big enough boy to throw around insults about foreigners, gays and Muslims etc (and you have free speech to do that) then you're big enough surely, to handle people saying stuff about you? If you give it out then you have to take it.
You can choose to retaliate, ignore or fuck off. That's three choices right there.

Re: Things that make you FUME.
Free speech works both ways. I am not struck on the Effing and Jeffing, the C and T words that get thrown around with gay abandon on some forums, but if swearing was stopped that's curtailing free speech, and I like posting on forums that allow free speech.
