Re: What A Bargain
No I wouldnt major
Because the shops themselves hide behind mispricing with the law that the price marked is merely an invitation to buy and not binding....therefore they cant complain when it bites them in the ass now and again......
I'd call it a bargain for you and tough shit for them

oh and you didnt need to make a swift exit either ...once the item has been tilled and payment accepted the deal is struck and IS binding....but ONLY on the shop....(under the law dealing with unfair contracts)

Re: What A Bargain
Good for you, Maj. As a Scot, I can tell you that part of a quality purchase is getting it for a genuine bargain. You get some great ones with the change of the season.
Some 7-years ago I got a parka for $8. Wore it today, as a matter of fact, and it's as warm as ever. Stores just want to move merchandise--inventory space is as valuable as stock--and you can get some great buys if you look.

Once scored a Michael Kors Breckenridge coat (normally around $250) for just over 40 bucks in an online deal. Sadly, it was about a size too big -- I gave it to charity.

Got a £148.84 Black and Decker drill and set for £48.84 after someone had erased/smudged the 1.
The shop looked curiously at the ticket but I got a bargain and still use the drill to this day. And very good it is too. (18v Li-ion)

Re: What A Bargain
I love a bargain! I just bought a long black leather French connection coat for £55 which was originally £255
I was so pleased with it I wore it the other day even though I was cold! Hahahahaha what a twat I was - but a very neat looking one.

"Too Large" is OK. You know, as you get older you get wider...it's a law of nature. I've got an ex-large seaman's pea coat that sat in the closet for the longest time, then one day I tried it on and it fit perfectly.
Nowadays, there's a lot more "Too Small" coats in my closet.

I inherited a dishwasher 53 years ago and it still works perfect, I am dead if she reads this.
Joking aside, when we moved here 5 months ago she had the scullery designed without a dishwasher as there were just the 2 of us and I often wash up by hand, keeps my hands clean.
The fitter asked her if she wanted to change her mind and have one she "better say now", guess what? he had to rush to the wholesalers and get one, guess what, she hardly uses the bleeding thing.
Women grrrrrrrr.
Well there's only me myself and I lives here, but I use my dishwasher loads. The other one has stopped cleaning properly so time for a new one. Its not that I'm lazy, its just that if I use a cup it sits on the sink till i do the next load of washing up, and it drives me mad Easier to stick it in a dishwasher out the way till i have a full load
