Don’t Let the Spite of the Far-Right Define Britain
Within hours of the Referendum result being declared, Eastern Europeans in the UK received leaflets calling them vermin and telling them to, confusingly, ‘Leave the EU’ and graffiti with a similar message was daubed on a Polish centre. Asian people too have been subjected to racist abuse and told to leave the UK, suggesting a degree of confusion about which countries the EU comprises of. To tell an Asian schoolgirl to leave a country she and her parents were likely to have been born in, on the back of a marginal EU Referendum result, is up there with the many bizarre and damaging things that had happened in the last few days.

Brits fighting alongside Poles and other Europeans defeated the Nazis in the 1940s. Now, several decades later, we all have to work together to ensure that the ignorant vindictiveness of the far-right does not define us as a nation.

Its all a bit of history repeating, there are far right extremists and there are far right terrorists, the far right extremists are the sheeple "I'm alright jack" and the terrorists are the jackboots, we've seen it all before, I was a dolmetscher and I spent six years immersed in that culture.Major wrote:scrat wrote:Within hours of the Referendum result being declared, Eastern Europeans in the UK received leaflets calling them vermin and telling them to, confusingly, ‘Leave the EU’ and graffiti with a similar message was daubed on a Polish centre. History duz not have a bearing on UK today.
Anyone coming to live on my island MUST not expect to be subsidised by me, or their tribez.
We are a Germanic race, well,,,,,for the most of us, and unlike our cousins we've yet to suffer such a catastrophic defeat, or massive upheaval, and you would think that blaming immigrants for all our woes is rather a stupid idea as it's the government bringing them in as cheap labour, but 80% of the media is right wing and it knows it's in a win win situation with immigrants.
Its likely you will still struggle to work it out, but punting out their bile on here, I suspect even unpaid,,,, really Major you should know better.

Well, it does actually. Had Hitler taken over the UK the likes of you would have probably ended up as a bar of soap.

Re: Don’t Let the Spite of the Far-Right Define Britain
An abusive slogan daubed across the front of Hammersmith's Polish centre at the end of June has been a talking point ever since it appeared.
Coming a matter of days after the EU referendum result declared Britain will leave the European Union, the incident was widely thought to be an attack on Poles that have settled in the UK as immigrants.
Indeed, the Met Police says it continues to treat the incident, which happened on the Polish Social and Cultural Association (POSK) in King Street on June 26, as a 'racially-motivated hate crime' .
However, some members of online forums and others in the local community have cast doubt on the theory the message was xenophobic, instead arguing the message, reading 'F*** you OMP' was actually aimed at a political think tank in Poland.
UKIP member and passionate Leave campaigner Alex Nieora, who has stood as a UKIP candidate in Ealing at previous elections, believes what was painted on the building is the result of tensions within the Polish community.
He said: “I don’t think it’s a racist slur against all Polish people.
"Lots of Polish people are Eurosceptic. The Polish government and press are Eurosceptic and want to claw back a lot of powers from Brussels.
“But OMP is a Polish think tank which is centre-right and Eurosceptic and issued a statement congratulating Britain on its Brexit vote.
"As someone who speaks Polish and understands Polish politics it seems clear to me that the graffiti was sentiment against Polish people that supported Brexit."

That is absolutely correct. We have seen the hate spew out of the far right against the likes of Lily Allen and Gary Lineker etc. for nothing other than showing compassion towards refugees children and all. Death threats against Lily and calling for Gary to be sacked and leading the way in stirring it all up are the rags like The Sun and the Daily Mail.
Shameful.

Funny how none of our European neighbors want these third world illegal immigrants and economic migrant criminals either...
