Trump will probably lose Florida, which will lose him the election. Clinton will then have 305 votes.
But even if Trump keeps Florida, he will need a Michigan, or a Pennsylvania, or both, and a Rocky Mountain state such as Colorado. His chances are slim and none.

Estimate 02:00 GMT we should know around that time. That's a BBC prediction though.

Re: US 2016 Presidential Election Map
I'll be in the newsroom tomorrow night and my editor asked me to commit to at least 11:30 Central time, but that's probably out of an abundance of caution.

Seven PM our time (PST) and the polls will close in the lower 48. We are 11-hours behind GMT. That still leaves Alaska and Hawai'i, but once California is in it's all over.

He did it to himself. All he had to do was tell the truth, but that's so difficult for him. Or he just can't keep up with his lies.

Trump derangement syndrome is a real thing, it's a form of PTSD and Quill can't help himself.

What's the problem? Trump lost the plurality by 3-million votes. America is just not a democracy.

Trump was elected by the same system that every other US president was, including Obama and we didn't hear you moaning about a lack of democracy when he got elected
If you don't like the system, then move to a country that has a system that supports your idea of what a democracy should be

Obama was elected by overwhelming majorities of the popular vote, twice.

Or change the system. But, back to the point: you will agree that Trump lost the election, but won because America is not a democracy. The position of president is chosen by an elite group, known as the electoral college. (Save a discussion of Russian manipulation for later.)
I'm not adverse to your suggestion that I move. But I would take with me a part of the American geography and start a more equitable nation...the Pacific States of America.
I think there is a sentiment for that all over the United States. Ironically, it's not a pull, but a push...not attracting, but two parts repelling one another. Two parts of the US do not want each other...the south and the rest. Which is good, because it can be accomplished amicably.
California has recently moved into the position of the 5th largest economy in the world. It is a great nucleus for building a new nation. Unlike the US, it would be a non-racist nation. Unlike the US, it would be a real democracy (see above). Finally, unlike the US, it would be a nation where the rule of law prevails...it would not be possible for a Cheney to run free, or for an organized crime family to take over the government.
It is a wonderful, refreshing idea, and requires merely a vote of devolution. The stresses of the current US strongly augur for it.

Re: US 2016 Presidential Election Map
The problem I see is this for the democrats
They are becoming like the Labour party in the Uk
You have those who are centralists and those who lean very left
The later are never going to have the vast majority of the populous of the US and unlikely to ever do so. Based on the culture of the US people. That has been raised on a meme of Middle class families around doing well in life. Its wway to successful a formular for success for people.
It means the further left leaning Democrats are playing to a small select view of people and not the majoirty of the US people. In reality we will see again what happened in the last Presidential election. Where numbers of Bernie supporters did not vote for Clinton, based on this Democratic divide. That they are not uniting behind one single candidate.
This is why the Democrats are heading for another defeat at present if they do not change course. Which I do not want to see, because there is so much disunity among them and Republicans will be able to capitalise off this. If Democrats want to have a hope of winning, they have to tune into the very people of the unites states. Listen to their grievances, whether they are people on the left, centre or the right. To then look to find common ground. The more the Democrats play into identity politics, the more chances they will lose another election. As they end up isolating a vast majority of the US electorate. Whether intentionally or not, based on race. More so those white and Middle class. The Republicans also should steer away from Trump and identity politics
The Democrats should steer away from identity politics and look to unite the people of America and do this based on the only identity that actually matters. As American people. No matter what ethnic, gender, religious etc group they come from.
As the American identity has been a winning formular in uniting countless different ethnic groups behind one single identity, throughout modern American history.
What Trump did was abuse this identity and end up dividing American people. When its the one thing that can easily defeat Trump. The more people unite behind an American identity that is inclusive to all. Will easily defeat Trumps exclusive view point on American identity politics
