Danny Carpenter has reportedly been taken off air after the diatribe about "cynical, vicious, racist" policies was spotted by a Tory MP.
A BBC News reporter is being investigated over a Facebook rant which branded the Tories the "new Nazis".
Danny Carpenter has reportedly been taken off air after the diatribe about Brexit was spotted by a Tory MP.
Nigel Adams made a complaint after spotting a Facebook message accusing the government of pushing through "cynical, vicious, racist and xenophobic" laws.
The message under Mr Carpenter's name on Facebook said: "Let’s see the Labour Party grow some proper balls and unite in the lobbies to vote out every cynical, vicious, racist and xenophobic piece of legislation these new Nazis propose.
"And let’s start by demanding a commons debate on Brexit and voting out this utterly undemocratic and non-legally binding referendum result which was achieved by a combination of dishonest fearmongering and lies about the economy”.
According to The Sun, the MP's complaint prompted a response from bosses at regional show Look North.
Head of BBC Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Helen Thomas is reported by the newspaper as saying: "Be assured we’re taking these allegations very seriously and the journalists concerned will not be reporting for the BBC pending the outcome of our investigation."
Mr Adams told the Mirror: "Mr Carpenter’s appalling comments do not help the BBC in their attempt to ensure their journalists are seen as politically neutral.

Yeah...
"And let’s start by demanding a commons debate on Brexit and voting out this utterly undemocratic and non-legally binding referendum result which was achieved by a combination of dishonest fearmongering and lies about the economy”.
Undemocratic...?
Dishonest fear mongering and lies about the economy?
Last time I looked... a vote on something was classed as democratic...
And during the last public say so on the eu/EEC... in 1975... the British public were promised that being in would not result in any handing over of any national powers/sovereignty...!!!

I'm afraid you don't know the rules of our democracy. Referendum are not legally binding unless ratified by Parliament. That's the law. That's why May had to do a U turn and say Parliament will get a vote.

The rules of our democracy are that public consent has to be given for any transfer of sovereignty to overseas powers...
Please can you tell us how the eu has ended up with so much control over our sovereignty democracy without the British people having ever given consent for any of it...!?
Aren't you angry about this?

And it just gets better - consider this:
...if Article 50 cannot be reversed then all the power lies with Brussels: The EU need not bother to negotiate at all — it could simply sit on its hands while the two-year clock runs down, ejecting Britain in a "hard Brexit."
If the trigger is reversible, that would imply Parliament — or a new referendum — could vote to reverse the trigger. In other words, even if Prime Minister Theresa May did not seek approval from the House of Commons to trigger Article 50 in the first place, the House could still cast a vote afterward, before the two-year period was up, yanking Britain out of the negotiations.

Oh do stop defecting Tommy. We are talking about a BBC reporter telling the truth and getting sacked for it. It's really unusual, BBC - the voice of the Conservatives.
And Tommy - I think you are a little mixed up, saying LOL doesn't mean you are angry, or are you angry when you put , is that the problem?

Got themselves in a bit of a muddle haven't they, if it wasn't for the fact the British people are being dunked in the shit, it would be quite funny.

Well, at least the toffs that led Brexit did well out of it.
But "tis the poor what gets the blame"

Trouble is, the people who most need good and enlightened leaders carry on liking the ones who deceive them and don't recognise the ones that don't. Maybe it's inbred in the psyche?

Re: BBC News reporter investigated over Facebook rant branding Tories the 'new Nazis'
MANY Tories, including the "Queen Mum" herself, were strong fascist supporters back in the 1920s and '30s...
A couple of high profile Nazi-loving Royals and aristocrats were living in self-imposed exile (in Ireland and France, respectively..) after the end of WWII..
The British Conservative party has always had that extremist neo-nazi RW faction over there, constantly pushing for more austerity, tighter border controls, and blaming the poor and the working classes for their own situations, whenever they need scapegoats for their own inbred incompetences.
