Just when you had your day planned out....
...and something unexpected happens, what a pain.
Just as we are about to leave for Wales...car wont start, starter motor gone.
Have you ever have your plans scuppered by unforseen events?

Oh no! What a pain. Can they get if fixed today so you can still go?
I had some girls I haven't see for a while coming over tonight for merriment but they've had to cancel - all except one. So it's still whisky o'clock for me.

It was the battery not the starter motor...£60 instead of £180 so that's better.
I cant be bothered going now so will go tomorrow instead. I'm just glad it went here not there. Last year we got a puncture coming home from Wales...the gel that's supposed to pump in the tyre to get you to your destination didn't work, we were stranded on a country lane in the middle of nowhere, tyre was shredded, going dark, no signal on mobile....nightmare.

Syl, are you not a member of the R.A.C. OR the A.A. or GREEN FLAG?
Any of them would have been with you in less than an hour!

Yes the AA, but the car was still at home as we hadn't set off...Oh got a push up the road and it did start. He managed to drive it to the garage and it's been fixed now Nicko.

SYl, you can get "home start" were they come to your house to get you started, it costs a good bit more though.Green flag charge £70 for home start and roadside repairs. Worth it for peace of mind.

Thanks Nicko it's worth knowing.
It was more the inconvenience today because we were all set to lock up the caravan in Wales....we could have gone because the garage had fixed it by 4pm, but by that time I couldn't be bothered...it's not really a problem we will go tomorrow instead.
