Trump supporter says Obama had 'a lot to do with 9/11'
Trump supporter at Ohio rally: "Barack Obama had a big part in 9/11. Not being around, always on vacation, never in the office."
Interviewer: "Why do you think Barack Obama wasn't in the Oval Office on 9/11?"
Trump supporter: "That I don't know. I'd like to get to bottom of that."
Re: Trump supporter says Obama had 'a lot to do with 9/11'
If they had brains they would be dangerous.
Oh wait, it's those people who could likely elect a despotic moron to preside over America ....not so amusing when you think of it like that.

Been looking into their stupidity, and his own spokesperson recently claimed that Obama started the war in Afghanistan, and that Obama's and Clinton's policies got the younger Khan killed ... in 2004: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/trump-spokeswoman-president-obama-started-afghanistan-war-article-1.2750248

At least Trump has one idolizer on Newsfix. And they both agree that there is no such thing as climate change.
They are also both dullards.

Trump supporters share one single brain cell between them, which they pass round at meetings, like the stygian witches and their solitary eyeball.

it is exactly that sort of thinking, and more importantly espousing that lost the brexit vote and may well lose the presidency for clinton. Endlessly calling half the population fools, bigots and thicko's does not win you votes.Jules wrote:Syl wrote:If they had brains they would be dangerous.

Conservatives are not half the population. Generally they sit at around one-quarter; last election it was 24%.
The Brexit vote may yet prove those voting for it are fools. Brexit was actually an EU vote under the EU Referendum Act 2015. Parliament is another jurisdiction, entirely.
Technically, a vote under EU law to terminate a relationship with the EU, is a self-contradiction and may well end up being self-negating. At the very least, that means it was probably quite foolish.
I think that Trump is unable to rise above his variously 33-35% line in the polls; Clinton is unable to sink below her 40-42% margin. No matter what the national poll, those numbers appear to be pretty stable. If Clinton wins by 5% or more, it will be a landslide.

Only 28 percent of Americans have a favorable view of Trump: http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/47-days-go-trump-needs-outside-forces-win-n652481
Just because his loud, angry, hateful supporters appear on TV a lot doesn't mean there's a lot of them.

The Brexit discussions and voting were over by the time I joined this site so I've never posted any opinions on it. It has its merits and demerits like most things. Odd that both proponents Farage and Boris stepped down soon after, though.
As for Trump, I have acknowledged that he could win, after all stranger things have happened. But it will not stop me giving my opinions on him and his fans.

They both looked to me like they were distancing themselves from their Brexiteering role.
Yes Theresa May shocked many people by making Boris foreign secretary. Tact is not his strong point.

Farage has worked tirelessly for 2 decades and in the face of constant attack/ridicule to have achieved the success we have seen for Ukip, democracy, bringing about the referendum, and the resulting leave vote... and he continues to work hard in the eu parliament still...!!!
All credit to him!!!
Boris is a much more intelligent, capable and able politician/statesman/foreign secretary than you give him credit for...
He is typically English with his friendly well natured likeable charm and good humour... and so understated in his perceived abilities and determination to achieve the best results for the country.
And maybe Mrs May thought it best to give him a job where he would be overseas for much of the time... and somewhat out of sight to the UK public...

Wiki:
The following article appeared in the Guardain on 23 June 2016:
Wiki wrote:The United Kingdom European Union membership referendum, also known as the EU referendum and the Brexit referendum, was a referendum that took place on Thursday 23 June 2016 in the United Kingdom and Gibraltar to gauge support for the country's continued membership in the European Union. The referendum result was not legally binding
The following article appeared in the Guardain on 23 June 2016:
The Guardian wrote:Is the EU referendum legally binding?
Parliament is sovereign and, if Brexit wins, Cameron will not be legally obliged to invoke the Lisbon treaty to start an EU exit
The simple answer to the question as to whether the EU referendum is legally binding is “no”. In theory, in the event of a vote to leave the EU, David Cameron, who opposes Brexit, could decide to ignore the will of the people and put the question to MPs banking on a majority deciding to remain.
This is because parliament is sovereign and referendums are generally not binding in the UK.
An exception was the 2011 referendum on changing the electoral system to alternative vote, where the relevant legislation obligated the government to change the law to reflect a “yes” vote had that occurred. No such provision was contained within the EU referendum legislation.
In 1975, when the last vote on whether to stay in the EU (then the European economic community) was held, the rightwing Conservative MP Enoch Powell, unhappy about what he considered a loss of national sovereignty, argued that the result was merely provisional as it could not be legally binding on parliament.
If the British public votes on Thursday for Brexit it will be in the hands of Cameron to decide when to invoke article 50 of the Lisbon treaty, which represents formal notification of any decision to leave. The prime minister has said he would have to trigger it immediately after a vote, although this might have been a way of emphasising that there would be no going back, to people thinking of voting leave.
Some advocates of Brexit argue that discussions with other member states could start informally, without article 50 having to be invoked. There has even been the argument, made by some in the Brexit camp, that the mere threat of departure following a vote to leave could smooth the way to a better deal for Britain which could then be put to voters in a second referendum on EU membership.
The wrangling reflects the fact that there is no binding legal process to force Cameron to invoke article 50. In theory, he could ignore the public and disregard a Brexit vote. In practice he has repeatedly promised that the result will stick – and there may be no going back on that line now.
