Re: Two bombs exploded in New York...
An explosion rocked the bustling Chelsea district of Manhattan on Saturday night, injuring at least 29 people in what authorities described as a deliberate, criminal act, while saying investigators had turned up no evidence of a "terror connection."
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and other city officials said investigators had ruled out a gas leak as the cause of the blast, but they stopped short of calling it a bombing and declined to specify precisely what they believed may have triggered the explosion.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-new-york-blast-idUSKCN11O012
But other articles are saying a second device was found and removed... a pressure cooker bomb like the ones used by the Muslim terrorists in the Boston bombing of the marathon run...
NEW YORK — Authorities here found and on early Sunday removed an explosive device — reportedly a pressure cooker — near the site of a Saturday night blast that injured more than two dozen people in the Chelsea neighborhood.
At a news conference before the discovery of a second device, Mayor Bill de Blasio said the explosion injured at least 29 people but that there was no specific terrorist threat.

Yeah, like the fact you're a bigot. Nobody yet knows who did this, could have just as easily been a violent, deranged right winger.

Re: Two bombs exploded in New York...
An explosion that rocked Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood and injured at least 29 people appears to have been "an intentional act" -- but not related to terrorism, according to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Not really fair to use that quote against me, as I wrote it when it was true that nobody knew who had done what.
If I had to guess now, with the benefit of all the reporting that you had access to when you posted this reply, I would conjecture that these were ISIS-inspired lone wolf attacks -- but I don't know that for sure.

I wonder how many bombs have been planted?
It seems like a concerted effort to kill or injure as many as possible again.

What is wrong with you guys? Another example of mission creep. Just because you don't believe all Muslims are evil, is not to ignore there is a terrorist movement.
Another undetonated bomb was apparently found at the Rutgers University campus in New Brunswick (NJ), just outside of NYC, which is where I went to graduate school. That one caught my eye.

Unfortunately, people are a bit more complicated than ducks! And it's obviously unfair to blame an entire religious group for the actions of some of their members, or to assume that a particular group carried out an attack before knowing the facts.

Well... all I had said before was that a pressure cooker device had been removed by police and that this type of bomb was the same as was used by the Muslim Boston bombers... which is completely true!
It was you who started speculating about some right winger being responsible for the op attacks...
So it was you who was casting aspertions against a whole group of people without any evidence whatsoever!!!
Maybe instead of talking about ducks... we should be talking about geese... and if it's good for the goose then it is good for the gander too...!

You added the part about the Boston Marathon bombers being Muslims, and I just said it could just as easily be right-wing terrorists, which we have a lot more of in the U.S. than Islamists. Remember Pasty-Face McVeigh?

No, you went out of your way to link it to Islam; I said it could have been a different variety of extremist, which we have far more of in the U.S. than Islamist terrorists. Or have you forgotten Pasty-Face Roeder?

Just pointing out that it's mainly white people who carry out acts of domestic terrorism in the U.S. That makes it more likely that any incidence of terrorism was carried out by a white person.
Re: Two bombs exploded in New York...
The link was the type of device used...
Maybe you can tell us the other instances in America in recent years where pressure cooker devices have been used...!?
Also... wasn't a local running event targeted with bombs over the last few days too...!?
And isn't this another reason to draw comparisons to Boston attacks...?

Yes, quite true. And, in America the first real, live terrorists were the KKK, founded in 1865. Over the centuries the white faces that are caught in this form of terrorism number in the millions.
You think you are pissed about ISIS? That's chump change. Ask the African Americans over here what they think of terrorism.

It depends on what you class as terrorism. For example, I see that Ben included a photo of Dylann Roof, but is he allegedly a terrorist or a mass murderer?

Personally I reckon these isis types have just succeded in making the "left" (such as it is over there in the states) look real silly and given trump just what he needs....
a few more of these attacks...especially a real bad one that DOES cause mass casualties and the voters in america may well be reconsidering their options......

I don't knowingly post false information:
Since Sept. 11, 2001, nearly twice as many people have been killed by white supremacists, antigovernment fanatics and other non-Muslim extremists than by radical Muslims: 48 have been killed by extremists who are not Muslim, including the recent mass killing in Charleston, S.C., compared with 26 by self-proclaimed jihadists, according to a count by New America, a Washington research center.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/25/us/tally-of-attacks-in-us-challenges-perceptions-of-top-terror-threat.html?_r=0
As for my choice of words, it was deliberate, to provoke someone who thinks whites are superior.

Would you call the PULSE shooter a terrorist or a mass murderer?
Both shooters were both -- they used mass murder as terrorism.
